I like the Valve Cover Rear View Mirror in the truck. I think that would look nice in my truck.

Re: Japanese Mini '72 C10 (cool video)
It's like a go kart version of a 67-72, except if I built it it would bigger engine. I imagine its fwd, but it would be fun if it were rwd I bet you could get sideways real easy at that weight! I was surprised it only gets 32 MPG at that size, I got better than that with a cavilier z24 with a 170 HP 2.4 and much heavier weight.

So a girl came up with this?
Send her a picture of a 73-80ish chassis-cab with stake body. |

Re: Japanese Mini '72 C10 (cool video)
Let's see.....the Japanese take something and make it smaller? Uh....I've seen that trick for about the last 40 years.
Still though, it's an homage of sorts that an ocean away, in a vastly different culture, a bunch of car customizers are looking at what are still often seen as farm trucks in this land and recreating it. Bash it or buy it. Love it or hate it....you gotta admit they know classic lines when they see them. Too bad GM doesn't have the foresight to create a tiny retro cool vehicle with an eye towards their future with a nod to their storied past. Even if they did though, the lawyers and government agencies would jack the price up on something like that where they would not be economically viable. I thought the interior was pretty cool on the C-1/10th though.... (Insert joke about a Japnese engineer having a hand in the development of SWB C-10's here) Last edited by 69 Okie Truck; 12-19-2010 at 06:50 PM. |

Re: Japanese Mini '72 C10 (cool video)
They need to make it look like these trucks more, the only part that looks like it is the front clip. Id take the wimpy little motor out, put it in my nephews gocart and put a suzuki Hayabusa motor in the truck then put a roll cage in it for safety(safety first right)and then would be happy with making it my daily driver.
