Re: 57 Step Side
Thanks again for all the props.Had oringnally brought the 12" slotted rotor kit but the smoothie wheels didn't fit,so i had to buy another kit with smaller rotors. If you know anyone getting ready to buy a rear disc brake kit and looking for a buy send me a PM .

Re: 57 Step Side
How come you had to go with two joints? I am headed down the same road and was wondering.

Re: 57 Step Side
Thank You,progess has slowed up abit.I'm hoping to have the wheels on this weekend.Got to get the cab to my shop to weld up all the hole in the firewall and floor, its amazing how many drilled holes there are after 53 years of use.Plus i have to repair the bottom of the cowl vents inner and outer from all the dirt and leaves that were stuck in there.

Re: 57 Step Side
I needed a joint on the rack just to point it towards the steering wheel and keep it as tight as possilbe tight to the frame rail and close enough to tie it back to the frame for the shaft support. The second joint then made everything line up to the steering column, would of been nice if they would make a rack for this application so you could run a straight shaft up to the column.

Re: 57 Step Side
Its from CCP had to remove the stock support under the dash which was very easy. Then you just drill 2.5" hole and the a flange fits on the firewall side with 4 small bolts.Comes with the drop pedal and new bracket to replace the one you had to remove.Very nice set up i'll have to say and took less then 30 minutes to install.I also installed a Lokar gas pedal and got the brake pedal to match.

Re: 57 Step Side
I think i have an acceptable amount of holes now, what all those holes were used foris puzzling.I can see if you were caught in a flood and wanted your truck to drain fast then yes all those holes would work well.
Holes 1.Steering Column 2.Brake Booster 3.Hood Hinges 4.Battery Bracket |

Nice build!
Does anybody know what holes are factory and ones that may have been added later? |

Re: 57 Step Side
Some of the holes would have been there for the wiring to pass through.
