Re: Katrina/10
Nice Save! The project is looking great. Where did you find that 69 cab? It's hard to find them here in MS and not be rusted out.

Re: Katrina/10
That's going to be one happy truck when your through!
I'm an expert on the hurricane thing, my home has been destroyed 3 times here in central FL and I was in Homestead when Andrew destroyed EVERYTHING. My job now is building Hurricane Impact shelters (Hospitals, Schools, etc.) so we have a place to hide Good luck on your build bro.

Re: Katrina/10
It's been a long time since I updated this, but have been doing a lot of work on this truck that I posted in other threads. I finished the interior, painted the cab, and most recently installed the bumper, cowl, radio antenna and wipers.

Re: Katrina/10
That's going to be a nice truck! I agree with you about the Laguna being cool. I had a Laguna S3 front clip on my 75 GMC Sprint. I thought it looked good.

Re: Katrina/10
I think some of those Sprints/El Caminos came with a Laguna front end. I have seen at least one.

Re: Katrina/10
I don't think I have any. Believe me, it was junk. I didn't plan to fix it, so I never took any pictures of it.

I just remembered, I still need to install the door mirrors before I can say the cab is finished. I have them in a box somewhere.

Great looking truck...One of mine (below) took a swim in Katrina too, 7 feet of good ole salt water...though not my C/10 at least!

Re: Katrina/10
I Have a few friends that live in Porteaux Bay, it was bad in there. I'm in Windsor Porte, across from Gulf Hills and not too far away from where your truck was...Paint on my roadster is good ole rustoleum..Was to be a temporary covering until I felt like making it really slick...but its still on there..now I'm too lazy to blow it apart and redo it...maybe when I finish the C/10, and the Camaro...and...? lol
Here's where mines at at the moment...

Re: Katrina/10
Glad to find there's somebody else nearby on this forum. I live just south of 90.
That sure is a nice look for Rustoleum, did you spray gun it? I don't think I have ever seen your truck on the road.

Re: Katrina/10
That is an awful lot of rubber fuel line and it does not appear to be fuel injection (pressure) style. I would consider putting in more steel line and at least get FI hose.
Great job on what you are doing, good looking truck

As far as the truck, I haven't been able to drive it much, It was in terrible mechanical shape, and leaked oil, tranny, ps fluid, water..you name it...after fixing most of those issues, the engine oil pressure went to zero at idle, I swapped engines, but still have a trans fluid leak from the front pump, so...its been a problem child for sure, but i'll get it eventually. I have a new wiring harness and power brake upgrade waiting for it. I'd also like a better cab, but will probably end up just fixing this one. As you know, impossible to find decent cabs around here. I haven't been able to spend a lot of time on it lately, as I'm stuck in the middle of a major restoration on the 67 Camaro convertible, but I'm about to get back on the truck. Your truck is looking great...did you paint it yourself?
