Just bought a set of brackets for the 400 Kickdown switch that fine69 will install. We are getting closer.

In three letters YES The suspension will be correct, I will have the kick down switch working as it should plus the brakes will be 100% functional. Fun times are just days away. Plus new wheels and tires

Ya, if you could find out that would be cool, I have been working on LJ's truck (mine now) and the carb is in need of a good rebuild.

Re: Fine69 took my truck : (

I think fine69 said it was the Carb Shop. One issue they found was the linkage wasn't 100% correct. It is finished and on its way home.

Thanks, the ol' GMC runs like a top but I think there is a sticky float. It either loads up or runs out of gas while driving. I gave it a Seafoam treatment and it is 100 times better but it still needs some attention. Hope your rig does everything you hope it does... exciting times!

Re: Fine69 took my truck : (

Today fine69 recieved the Carb back from Ca. Mike said it looks NOS or even better. I will verify where he had the Carb rebuilt and pass it on. It might be the Carb Shop but I am not 100% sure.

Re: Fine69 took my truck : (

http://www.recarbco.com/

The above is the place where my Q Jet was rebuilt. They did an absolutely excellent job. The carb looks like an NOS Carb with a 1 yr warranty. The LINK is above. I got the Circuit Rider home last night about 11:45pm. It ran flawlessly. Fine69 has the Circuit Rider running, handling, and riding better than factory new, I just need to get use to driving a BB 40 yr old truck. The only issue is the Extang Revolution Tonnue Cover isn’t fitting properly so I will need to address that. I will take the truck to Curt’s for a few minor issues that need to be fixed and then the Circuit Rider will be back on the prowl--on the highways and byways. Then again are our trucks ever really finished?

He has my vote. As mentioned he did an excellent job on my carb. Maybe he should become a Vendor because folks are always looking for a "good" carb rebuilder.

I'm glad to hear you have circuit rider back and almost done, in this phase. As you said, are they ever really finished? I don't think so, but that's just me.
