SWEET!

Haden't heard from you in a while. I was wondering if you were heading for high ground because of the flooding they are expecting down there. Are you and Carter going to be affected by it at all?

Re: 1966 bagged c10

We should be ok, they have opened a couple of large spillways to drain the river, its seems to be helping alot. If the levee broke my truck would be gone, I live about a half mile front the mississippi river. Plenty of flood insurance though. I have jus tbeen trying to get this thing back on the road.

Re: 1966 bagged c10

A question for my fellow baggers. What radiator did everyone use after zing the frame. The radiator is so high the hood will not close, and it looks like Sh*t sticking up that high. I need a shorter radiator from what i can tell.

Re: 1966 bagged c10

Did you drop the front of the frame back down? You need to do another Z in the front to get the radiator and core support to line up.

Re: 1966 bagged c10

I see now that you dropped the front in front of the rad mounts. You could probably find an aftermarket rad that fits.

Re: 1966 bagged c10

A 1974 radiator fits perfect, and it has the trans cooler built in. I was going to run trans cooler in front of my old radiator, but going with the 74 radiator it's all in one.

Re: 1966 bagged c10

The tires you have are directional and you may have already corrected but the driver front tires is going backward in this pic. so that probobaly means the passenger rear tires is backward also. just an observation. Truck looks great though.

Re: 1966 bagged c10

I wanted to that was my whole goal this past year. I am in the middle of changing jobs. I had a job offer I could not turn down, I have to fly to St. louis on the 19th and will be there for about 2 weeks. Man I was pissed off, but you gotta do what you gotta do right.

Re: 1966 bagged c10

Nice lookin truck!! I avoided the compressor problem by using a 105a alt and running #6 (?) wire for the compressor relays. If you play with stuff alot you may be hard pressed to keep the battery up.

Keep up the good work!

Re: 1966 bagged c10

Sorry to take so long to reply i have been so busy with work. The wheels are a brand called boss & no porter built hood hinges yet, but its a def upgrade

I went with the 105 alternator, i brought it to the local alternator shop and they were able to get it up to 145. I am running an optima battery under the hood and an oreillys superstart battery under the bed for the extra power.

Well after a long break away from the truck, I am back at it and ready for some more work. I got the radiator put in and the trans cooler lines ran this past weekend.
