Re: And the Fun Begins!!
Got the inner fenders on and finished up just enough of the wiring to get her started. She doesn't want to start. Might be a good thing. I noticed coolant coming out of the header. I think I have an issue with a head gasket. Time to start tearing her apart again.

Re: And the Fun Begins!!
Not a head gasket. The head is cracked. Pistons had coolant setting on top of them. Time to start cleaning. Getting a set of aluminum heads now.

Re: And the Fun Begins!!
New set of Brodix IK180 heads installed. Cleaned everything out, changed oil and she is ready to go again. Started up and did the break-in, tightened up a few leaky spots, all is good. Engine sounds awesome.

Re: And the Fun Begins!!
Out of a 2000 Chrysler 300M. $75 at the local salvage yard. They are dark gray leather. 6 way adjustable with heat and memory. Fab'ed a set of brackets and they fit right in.
I think the headrests will be left off. Not sure I like them. |

Re: And the Fun Begins!!
looks great, did those full length headers tuck in there with the drop? Also wondering what wheel/tire/backspace size you went with?

Re: And the Fun Begins!!
The headers did fit. They are tight at the frame but managed to squeeze them in. The added tire height increased the ground clearance of the headers. They were really close to the ground with the drop (3 1/2 front, 4 rear).
The wheels are 17x8 front with 4 1/2" bs. 17x9.5 rear with 5 1/2 bs. Tires 255/60/17 front. 285/60/17 rear. I wanted to fill the wheel wells with some rubber. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: And the Fun Begins!!
Thinking about maybe adding stripes. What do you think? The one on the passenger side or the one on the driver side? They will have the 1/8th inch thin stripe around the main stripe like the SS stripes. Color will either be satin black or satin gunmetal (wheel color). Also will have the tailgate letters done in the same satin color if I decide to go that route.
