Re: taking the old truck to the dyno
453 h.p. Trying to upload a video but can't seam to figure it out... Buddy said his mustang dynod 476 and was running 10.30's.. So i would think that i should pull some high 10's... Anyway, i don't think that this is too bad... A 100 shot, and this thing should run pretty dang good...

Re: taking the old truck to the dyno
Those are good numbers . If your gonna put the hose to it go ahead and do a 250 shot .
Your little 431 runs as good as my old 468 did 20 years ago . It went 11.30 @ 117 on motor . 10.50 @ 128 I think on a 250 plate shot . After the 10.30 @ 130 with the fogger and the plate yall know they sent me home .

Re: taking the old truck to the dyno
swb85,, GOOD JOB on the 450 guess
453 to the drivers is kicking some SERIOUS bootie. I way underestimated what those heads were capable of. You sure you didn't have about a 75 horse shot hiding under the manifold or something

Re: taking the old truck to the dyno
These heads do flow pretty good, just wish they didn't weight so dang much. I believe i'm going to sell them and buy some aluminum heads next... No nitrous yet, but i can't wait!!

Congrats on your numbers. I personally like numbers. I do believe Marv likes them more.

Re: taking the old truck to the dyno
Broke a serpentine belt, which in return caught my wiring on my water pump and the wiring on my electric fan. I guess these serpentine kits are not made to go to 7k rpm? Mabey i had the belts to tight or to loose or they don't line up perfectly..

Re: taking the old truck to the dyno
Are you going to stay with rectangular ports or a high flowing oval like the Brodix heads?

Re: taking the old truck to the dyno
Since i have a dart rectangle port intake, it will probably be cheaper to stay with the rectangle port heads...
