Re: 1972 in for parts

DD1 - PM sent with payment info.

Any interest in the cab. I hate to scrap it, but I don't keep these things too long before I haul them off!!

Re: 1972 in for parts

I would love a decent cab; it would save me a lot of trouble. The problem is getting the cab from AL to NY is really pricey from what I have seen.

Re: 1972 in for parts

I would be interested in the Manuel column if the shifter lever housing is decent. A picture of it would help. Plus if shipping isn't real bad on the outer grille, I would take that too. Thanks.

I'm working long hours at work the next few days. I'll get some pics by the weekend and get a shipping quote on the grill. Thanks.

Re: 1972 in for parts

Would you be interested in cutting the dash out? I'm looking for an uncut replacement for mine. If so, any idea what shipping would be to 47136?

Re: 1972 in for parts

Hey JQ, would you mind sending me some photos of the door pillars and the inner cowl after you remove the fenders? I am interested in the door pillars, and part of the inner cowl. I will make a point to go out to my truck tonight for pics to show what I need to replace.

Thanks!

Re: 1972 in for parts

JQ, So here are some photos of the pieces I could use if you decided to cut up the cab. Let me know if it would be possible for you to chop any of this up, and if so, how much you would want to send it to me.

When you see this, you will understand why I would like a new cab. However getting a decent one in this area is very, very difficult.

I need parts of the door pillar and inner cowl for both sides. Also, if it is not damaged, the area around the black vents inside the cab (do you think I am better off just taking them out and sealing it up?).

I could also use a piece of the inner roof panel near the front of the cab as I just discovered mine is not in great shape. I don't know how I missed that before. I grinded it down a little to see how bad it really is.

Let me know what your thoughts are. Any help or suggestions from you or anyone else reading this is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Darien

Re: 1972 in for parts

Sorry for the delay, guys - two 12 hrs. shifts down, 1 more to go!!

Oklalawnboy - hang in there, I'll get pics Saturday!
DD1 - your parts are on the way. Don't want to cut the cab up just yet.
jdperez - steering wheel is not original - looks like early 80's Camaro.
chevytruckguy70 - dash has huge hole cut out for radio.
truknut - Hey Jeff, I'm asking $200 on the 3.08 rear.
vernon - you are next in line, I'll let you know.

Re: 1972 in for parts

jdperez - The steering wheel is gooey and sticky and probably not usable (unless wearing gloves!)

Oklalawnboy - pics of the column. There is some wear in the shifter pin. LMK.

Re: 1972 in for parts

It looks better than mine. I believe you said 70 shipping included? Did you get a ballpark figure for shipping the outer grille to 13637? This would be my first purchase on here so I'm not clear how this all works. I do want the column and possible the outer grille if the shipping doesn't blow me out of the water. How do I pay you? I can send a bank check (no, I didn't say blank check, LOL!) sent from my bank or a money order .... Let me know what works for you. Thanks for the photos. Ken

Re: 1972 in for parts

Oklalawnboy -

I got measurements for the grill yesterday and, according to UPS online calculator, it will be $60 shipping. I'll make it an even $100 shipped to you. I could probably put the column in the same box as the grill - $160 shipped to you for grill and column. Let me know which way you want it and I'll PM you with payment info.

JQ

Re: 1972 in for parts

Thanks, JQ. Hopefully, I won't need the cab parts much longer. I found a cab not too far from me that is in decent shape. It needs some work, but not as much as my cab does. Worse case scenario, I can chop some parts off of this cab.

Of course, the way my luck goes, the cab I am getting is an A/C cab. So the heater box I am getting from you will be useless, and I will now have two of them. Oh well, I suppose I can turn around and sell it to someone else at some point. I can't be too picky with cabs though. Finding decent cabs close to me is difficult to say the least.

Re: 1972 in for parts

Hey JQ! Sounds great! I'll take it all. You can take the rag joint and double d shaft off (if it had it) to make packing easier if that helps. I don't need either one of those pieces. i only need from the linkages up. I'll try and pm you for more detail about getting the money to you. Thanks!!

BTW. If no one has spoken for the headlamp bezels, I'll take those too. I only need the left one but will buy both so you don't have just one. Let me know the total. ken
