63GMC kid, I kinda know what you mean about the stories the wrecks can tell. I build wrecks and have since the late 80's and I see them in circumstances that most people don't see. I see a lot of carnage at the sales where the insurance co.'s have a "pool" where they all send their stuff

This picture makes me sad with that GMC grille all smashed up. I've never been to a yard with that many 60-66 GM trucks before, seeing these pictures makes me think about the saying "where old iron goes to die" (and sometimes get new life), and the history of the vehicle and why it ended up there, who used to drive it, where it's been, the wrecked ones really get the gears turning in my head though, like what happened in the wreck, when did it happen, etc. Maybe a bit morbid, but interesting to think about none the less. Makes me that much more happy that my GMC sheetmetal is in such good condition.

I always look for the little human touches in these old wrecks. for instance, one of those burbs had a calender hung up inside it, still one November 1980. It really takes you back in time.
