Looking good! you'll love the LS being able to jump in and turn the key is great. The first time we fired mine up it took off the second time it turned over.

Re: 1970 Chevy AKA "Hammer"
Well Its been a couple of long weeks. I havent been able to work on the truck as much as I have wanted to but Ive been knocking somethings out here and there. Ive got both doors done allthough the drivers door is not exactly making me happy right now so I may end up re doing the outer door skin. I bought my cpp modular drop spindles, rack and pinion, and I bought a ls3 intake since my truck intake is a bit tall with this drop member. I blasted and painted my control arms today. My goal this weekend is to get what I have of the front end put together and finsih my fenders and get them in primer. Anyways heres some pics I hope yall enjoy.

Re: 1970 Chevy AKA "Hammer"
Thanks guys. Its comming along slowly but I try and some of it just depends on how the money situation looks. I got the control arms and spindles put on and installed the rack and pinion. I measured to see how much ride height I was going to have and with 315/30/18 in the front and 335/30/18 in the rear I should have 4" from the ground to the bottom of the frame which is great cause thats what I was shooting for. I got the drivers side fender blasted and primered and filled in all the holes and shaved the parking light and I fixed the lower part of the cab that was broke off on the cab. Anyways heres some pics

Re: 1970 Chevy AKA "Hammer"
Sorry its been so long since I posted anything. Its been pretty busy around here lately and not to mention its getting hot but Im still plugging away at her. I filling in all the holes and parking lights in both fenders and I replaced both rocker panels and replaced the drivers cab corner since it was bent up pretty bad. I decided that since I was going to be using coil overs I would rather have a 1 piece drive shaft instead of a 2 piece so I raised the drive shaft hoop on the crossmember and started working on the cab tunnel for the trans and drive shaft. I found some seats and started working on mounting them in the truck and I found a 59 impala dash thats in really good shape. I put the heads back on the engine and mounted the ls3 intake. On a side note I found out I have to buy new brackets for the a/c compressor and alt/ps because of the drop member. Anyways I leave you with more pics.

Re: 1970 Chevy AKA "Hammer"
Ok slight change of plans. I found a 6l80e and got a good enough deal on it that I couldnt refuse. So I changed out the trans yesterday and now I need to clean up the frame a bit from some scratches that have accured from trying to build a tunnel. I dont remember if I said this before but I have decided to run a 1 piece drive shaft instead of a 2 piece so I had to raise the drive shaft hoop a bit anyways here are some pics.

Re: 1970 Chevy AKA "Hammer"
Thanks Tinkermc. If I would stop changing my mind on certain things I would be alot closer to finishing. As for the dash I started looking and found this one for 100 bucks which was way cheaper than anything others that I could find and alot more complete. I hope it looks pretty nice when Im done.
