Re: Dad's 66 Custom Camper - Big Family/Small Budget

FedEx did a followup and the house they dropped my package off at claims they received nothing..... They delivered it to my address space "L"... well that's because Eastwood forgot to add L"ot #50" makes a big difference when there is an actual space L in my mobile home park ..... Also makes me pissed because people are so dishonest these days, bet you anything that person in space L is trying to figure out how much they can make off my order they accidentally received

Up to Eastwood now to make things right, I have heard good things about them and it stinks but they really need to suck this one up, they left 6 characters off the shipping label which caused the whole shipping mix up.....

More progress to come once I get the stuff I need, sucks waiting!

Re: Dad's 66 Custom Camper - Big Family/Small Budget

Went ahead and removed the tank supports in the cab

Plan is to remove these and weld them to the floor since the supports are no longer in place, any other ideas?

Due to my limited work space I have resorted to storing everything in the bed

Will be working on the floor/front door pillar/drivers kick panel repair tomorrow!

Re: Dad's 66 Custom Camper - Big Family/Small Budget

Had an exciting weekend took my son to his first baseball game:

His favorite part was the lizard mascott running around, He had to point him out everytime he saw him lol

Got the rust cut out and started cutting and fitting patch panels. So Far the only issue is the floor board doesnt seem to match the angle of the upper floor/firewall seam.

Going to spray some rust converter on some exposed parts then coat with eastwood's rust encapsulator before welding in the new peices.

Be careful out there, this website and a long deployment are a bad idea.

Four months in Afghanistan and I have WAY too many ideas for my 64 now

Get home safe to those kiddos and get krackin on that 66!

Thanks!

Put together my B-day/Christmass wish list:
Paint guns
DA sander
7 peice Dyna Block kit
oil/air desiccant filter
Respirator
and a new wiring kit to fix my eletrical fire from 10 years ago, Yes headers get hot, they melt wires, wires ground to headers and systems will ignite

Need to get home I'm coming up with way too many ideas out here lol

VTX 1300 Honda, I get that question alot, I built it from stock over the last few years and really have a lot of time in it, custom jetted by myself, rear Car Tire, straight pipes, fairing, sound, I have hard bags in my shed waiting to be mounted when I get home.
