Re: 1964 dually
All the C30's and bigger as well as some of the C20's had the drum style e-brake on the back of the transmission, with the handle coming up thru the floor.

Re: 1964 dually
A little Febuary bump. My Dad and I used the Dually to get all of the bricks and sand home. The patio is 120 x 20. It should be done in a few weeks.

Re: 1964 dually
Had a 64 GMC 1 ton that I actually took a long WB - step side bed -added about 9 inches( in the center) and had a truck that most thought was factory.I also built a 1955 LCF ( 5500 ) series big truck with same LWB /step side bed style( it is in the selmer Tn area now- he wanted more than me - . Used both as tow trucks- Got a 1951 3800 JS 1 ton pickup now.
Your truck is just so nice and solid. You guys really dont know how nice it is to have such nice stuff to choose from. There are nice trucks around here , but so many are used to death, and here in the south many dont know a truck from a tank- I do not have a dump truck- wish I did - Id trade you in a Min.lol And I must say nice - nice yard work- |

Re: 1964 dually
The yard has come a long way.I bought the house a 1.5 years ago and the back and front have been the biggest projects. It great that my dad is retired. He spends about 40 hours a week doing all of the projects at my house. The dually is a great truck. There's a few things that i want to do to it. My dad keeps telling me that when he done around the house he wants to do a frame off on the dually.

Re: 1964 dually
That brick patio looks like a lot of work, but it will be nice when done. You guys are doing a very nice job.

Re: 1964 dually
Captainfab Thx. We bought bricks off of Craigslist. I bought 12000 for 10 cents apiece. The boarder bricks and the sand i got from a place down the street. They also gave my a great deal as well. It helps that my family is in the construction business as well. I was thought from a young age by both parents that DIY is a lot cheaper then hiring someone to do it half assed for a lot of money. Next is the garage it should be 50x50 with 16ft ceilings.

Re: 1964 dually
I was taught the same way. It is cheaper to do most things yourself, and you also get it done your way.
That ought to be an awesome garage/shop. I can't wait to see it. Quote:
