Great looking project! I love the LSX and porterbuilt combo. Are there Slosh Tubz in your future or do you have something else planned??

Thanks for the compliment. As for the Slosh Tubz, I am just going to be using a little modified stock fender wells. Not going to crazy with laying frame and all that.

Re: IT's TIME! Agent Orange under the knife... LSX
Boyd's gas tank installed. Amazing product. Fits like a glove.
And she's a roller again. Still have to plum air lines, fuel and brake before the body goes on. Hopefully dropping the engine and trans in the next day or so. |

Re: IT's TIME! Agent Orange under the knife... Merry Xmas
Thanks for the complements everyone. Really trying to get what I call phase two completed within 2 months. My definition of Phase 2 is complete drive train and suspension and then enjoy the truck for a bit. Then, work up to phase 3. Paint, body and esthetics.

Re: IT's TIME! Agent Orange under the knife... Merry Xmas
engine and trans in:
So I had purchased the Doug Thourley headers and they are a little tight of a fit. They don't rub or touch but super close to the engine mount. So I might put a spacer between the engine and engine mounts to give it just a tad more clearance. Really no biggy. Simple fix. |

Re: IT's TIME! Agent Orange under the knife... Merry Xmas
Thinking a head of time about what engine I wanted, I know I also didn't want the truck oil pan to hang below the front crossmember. So with a lot of research, I used the CTS-V oil pan. Fits like a glove and above the front crossmember. I highly recommend it.
