Re: Double din audio deck
try it! sit in your seat as normal and reach for the center vent or middle of the dash.

Re: Double din audio deck
I think I am going to go this route I just have to find the best way to close up the openings of the other side of the dash where the ac controls go and the air vent since I don't have air or heat in my truck.

Re: Double din audio deck
Did anybody else notice that $170,000 truck had the wrong fuel gauge? I mean if your gonna make those claims everything should be legit wouldn't ya think?

Re: Double din audio deck
Thanks a lot man that looks nice. My only issue is that my dash has the vinyl on it and not the hard style dash of the newer 80s trucks. But I am curious if the harder dash will fit in my truck.

Re: Double din audio deck
I know this is an old post, but can you answer a few questions about the build? How did you close off the air vent? Do you have any more pictures of the install? I'm trying to get up my nerves to cut into the dash of my 89 burban...thanks i. Advance

Re: Double din audio deck
The longer I own these trucks the more I like upgrades done with the original form left intact. Not always easy to do so I was curious to read this. Kudos on searching out a thread that already dealt with the topic. In a sidenote: I learned today that Seattle has slums/a ghetto. I wonder how many more decades I will have to live here to find it, ha. Not a perfect city by any standard, but I am unaware of an area that could be termed that.
Back to the topic. I think an overhead console that has a flip down nav screen would do the job nicely. |
