Re: would you put this truck on ebay with a $5K start price and no reserve??

I don't see how the trim could be any lower, If it was it would cover the key hole in the door.

Re: would you put this truck on ebay with a $5K start price and no reserve??

they are only talking about the rear part of the upper bed trim. Door is correct. The rear upper trim is not supposed to be the same distance from the top of the bed rail as you move from front to rear of bed - it is supposed to be further from the top at the rear. It's a bit of an optical illusion.
Distance from top edge of bed rail down to top edge of upper trim at front of bed is approx 6.75".
Distance from top edge of bed rail down to top edge of upper trim at rear of bed is approx 8".
I agree, seller's looks a little high, that's all. There must be something funky - so many have noticed it. ???

Also, although the cab and bed trim appear misaligned (in my pics below, not the seller's), it's just because of the angle at I'm looking down at it and the curve of the cab - when level with the trim, it all lines up. As for the rear lineup - the top of the bed upper trim and the top of the tailgate upper trim line up just about perfectly (when I get down and look at it level).

The way I look at it, the reserve price is what the SELLER thinks the vehicle is worth, or an appraisal says. The Max amount of money bid is what the BUYER will pay. The price is always subjective and never definite. The seller of this one is just being realistic IMHO.

The assembly manual has diagrams for trim attachment. 11/32 Holes are drilled (number dependent on short or long bed) and clips installed. The measurements depicted show the trim slanting towards the rear. There are no page numbers in the manual but it is in the last 100 pages.

Accurate or not, I would like to have that truck. It's a whole lot cleaner than my rust bucket.

Is it just me, but doesn't that look like a big block? Those valve covers don't look like any small block I've seen.

The question should be: "Would you put this truck on Ebay with those goofy white painted center caps?"

Seriously,I think it's a really nice truck. But,at first glance those white centers jumped up and screamed "used car lot lipstick on a pig!". With all the good work done it deserves more class than that. s said before,a small investment into the stick chromed centers would do wonders. They even used the classy vintage narrow stepped trim rings and all anyone sees are the tacky centers
