I see where you put the fuse panel. It looks like you are far enough from the motor and heat. Good luck my friend.

Re: Inflation fighter gets a makeover!

Well more progress. Got the vintage air condensor and dryer installed. Got the fan shroud mocked up which fits pretty good with no trimming. Hopefully i can get my trans lines built and installed tonight.

Got the engine fired up this morning. All went well anyone who is skeptical about doing a ls swap shouldnt be. This wasnt nearly as hard as i thought.

Re: Inflation fighter gets a makeover!

Well kind of a update. Drove it for the first time yesterday. What a difference going from a straight 6.
Still have alot to do. Finish hooking up the vintage air and getting exhaust put on. Overall very happy with how this swap turned out. All my factory gauges work like they should.

Re: Inflation fighter gets a makeover!

Now you've got me thinking about doing this to my '69.

Ive seen ur build. I wish my truck looked half as good as yours does.I really like how your truck turned out. 5.3 swap really isnt that bad i hear people have horror story's but you can avoid most of that by buying good parts.

Re: Inflation fighter gets a makeover!

Coming along real nice! Not to be a jerk, but what do you figure you have ballpark in the whole LS shootin' match? I'm not afraid of the buy on the motor/trans, but I've heard the down line will break it off in ya! Care to address or deny the rumors?
