You're absolutely right. I have friends with sons and daughters that blow my mind how informed they are about events and things from my youth.

Its just like when I was a kid in the 50s and 60s with an interest in 32 Fords, and actually just about anything pre-war. I studied history, and sometimes even listened to the old farts talk.

Except for those big cotton jobs the women folk wore... those gross me out.

Moo-Moos were OK, it was those big cotton underpants underneath. Those were dark days, massive VPL, and a total disregard for razors.

'Nuff said, I'm probably going to get some flack for totally derailing this thread.

Ewww........flack...flack......now back on track. That glove box would be even cooler if you can find the floor mats to go with it. I haven't seen those in a long time

Nice! At 26, I wouldn't consider myself an old guy, but I get it, even have these floor mats in my 78.

I really need to get a better picture of them though, they are in almost brand new condition, but were just really dirty when I took that picture.

Keep on Truckin! Had the t-shirt! The black light. The lava lamp. The bean bag chair (to sit it and stare at my Farrah (or Lynda Carter) poster(s) with the black light and lava lamp turned on), listening to CCR and, of course, some zep. Thanks for the memory reboot, awesome.

I wonder how many of the younger readers are wondering who Farrah is?

Re: Airbrush on Glove Box Lid

I really must be getting old.............because of this thread I looked at a few images of Lynda Carter.............she has BLUE eyes!!!! I never noticed that before. I must have been distracted by other things.........work, cars, trucks, or maybe something else in her picture. Can't put my finger on it...........

Re: Airbrush on Glove Box Lid

I haven't seen those mats or that art in years. Brings back good memories. Remember burning the skins off of my truck and it taking two weeks to buy two more. Dad said you buy you some tires and you won't be burning rubber much more. He was right. I don't anymore. I had the floor mats. I need to find some more. Thanks guys for the memories.

There's something about trucking in my Chevy pickup down that road called "Memory Lane" that makes me smile.

I got this set of mud flaps when I got my late 60s gold metal flake dune buggy. Sold the buggy, kept the flaps...No they aren't for sale =)
