Re: Project Dead Rat - COOP Pickup

A bit of progress today. Ebay $300 CUT50-F plasma cutter is my friend. It works like a champ on old stuff I wont be needing.

Frame height at crossmember spindle centerline is 12.5 inches.

1996 Imp SS wheel for fitment and ride height. front tires 245 50 17 . rear 275 60 17.
Front will be Mustang 2 and rear will be TCi leaf kit with lowering blocks.

Re: Project Dead Rat - COOP Pickup

is that the one you got in valley center?

looks like a great start, amazing what a plasma cutter does for all that grunt work that used to be a pain grinding and cutting.

Re: Project Dead Rat - COOP Pickup

Actually the coop is a 1951. This is a 1949. Coop waits till this is driveable. This is a one owner from Burlingame, ks. Hoping we can keep it low with the TCI rear leaf kit.

Re: Project Dead Rat - COOP Pickup

Ha ha ha. Between a full time job, 3 kids and harness and tuning work, and a wife, I get little time to work it. As of tonight it's still outside and covered with 1/2 inch of ice and snow. Motor mounts are next.
