Incorrect. The drum is held onto the hub via the eight, press-in wheel studs. This is typical of 3/4-ton and heavier duty axles.

I have the front axle. I pulled the drums and hubs and separated them just to make it easier for me to move around. From the rear I have the axle shafts, hubs, and 11" drums.
