Wow, I didn't realize it was a 396 to boot! That is an off the-charts-cool rare truck.

It was originally ordered locally and driven by my grandfather until his death in 1975. My uncle drove it in the late 70,s and my cousin drove it to college and beyond in the 80's and early 90's. My father acquired the truck in the mid 90's but never really did any thing with it.
I don't know where my plans will lead, but at this point would like to mostly keep it stock. For now I just want to get it back on the road and drive it. I will post more pics in the coming days and try to post updates as I can.

Bryan.
Nice!!! Carry on!

Never was a hood ornament guy, till I saw that one. SWEET

What a cool truck, big block, turbo, bucket seats. It's a Chevelle with a pick up bed...

Re: Grandpa,s 68 short big block

I see a 67-72 meet-up in Spokane in our future.

Great truck and I like that hood ornament. Was your dad a fan of the AF jets at Fairchild?

Grandpa liked airplanes, flew for a while in the 50's. He died when I was 6 so I never got to ask him the significance of the ornament.

I'm on the dry side of the state. It has been under cover most of its life.

I'm leaning towards this if I can find the wheels. I've got a correct set of hubcaps, but they're pretty beat up.
