Re: My 1970 C10 in the UK
Welcome from Sunny Arizona. And I mean SUNNY. 99* today and 100* expected tomorrow.
Nice truck. Would look killer with some 18" fronts and 20" rears. JMO

Apparently off the show it looks like he's a bit of a knob but he loves pickups, Haven't you seen the last series with him and May in Ford and Chevy pickups rescuing the Hamster ?

Re: My 1970 C10 in the UK
Great truck and much better with the larger tires.
Clarkson at least held a show that eclipsed the idiots who populated the version in the US. Gawd what a bunch of knobs...... I miss Clarkson and his antics. Very entertaining. |

Re: My 1970 C10 in the UK
So I finally got round to fitting my ECE 4"/6" lowering kit and also retro fitted a rear bumper i found 20 miles from me Next up is some 275/60/15 tires as the ones on there are a bit to big, I'm still looking for some 15x8 rally wheels but not having any luck, Had a look at the summit racing site but with the shipping the price doubled I would also like to get some wood grain side trim but again its hard to find over here, I think i might have to pop over to the sometime soon with an empty suitcase

Re: My 1970 C10 in the UK
Nice truck. Looking good with the new altitude adjustment.
It can be a challenge sometimes owning these trucks outside their mother country. But I'm always amazed at how drivable they are considering their working background. Anyway, good luck and enjoy.

Re: My 1970 C10 in the UK
Well welcome Neighbour, your truck looks great and those tyres suit it.
I live just down the road from you in Rugby Warwickshire. We bought in a 67 C10 Stepside earlier this year. Although our purchase does not appear to have gone as smoothly as yours and the truck is now under going an extensive rebuild. If you need any help at all give me a shout, I have had many American motors over the years and built and raced a few. There are a few C10's in the area Tony 70-454 longbed in Coventry and Neil 502-68 stepside just outside Daventry. Do you ever manage to get to the Butty Run ? Guy |

Re: My 1970 C10 in the UK
Ha....we can almost run a European/U.K thread!
I was in Church Stretton/Shropshire/Shrewesbury a few weeks ago visiting family....and was always keeping my eye out for some N.A iron. Beautiful countrysides.....maybe a little tight from time to time for our trucks...but really beautiful. All Good Collin

Re: My 1970 C10 in the UK
Welcome to the site. Sadly, I cannot offer any advice to remedy your particular issues. Your truck is attractive however and I assume it began its life as a manual floor shift. Am I correct?
Your text is refreshing. I have read several English-translated German books and I have become rather used to terms such as "wireless," "morsed," "lorries," "spectacles," "bonnets," "boots," and "torches." |

I miss the old "Top Gear" also. I guess the Clarkson, May, and Hammond plan to hatch their version didn't pan out. |

Re: My 1970 C10 in the UK
I putting another order together early next year may if you want we could ship over together, to save on some of the shipping costs. Neil and myself just put a large order in on Wednesday so you have missed that I am afraid.

Re: My 1970 C10 in the UK
Congrats on the new truck! I think the tire and rim package you have on the truck currently looks just about perfect, better than Rallye's would in my opinion...
