Re: Finally found my truck

They said it would be covered. We'll see after the claim appraiser looks at it to see just how much covered means.

Re: Finally found my truck

If I know insurance companies. They are either going to try and give you $750 or try an total it.
I would stop by a reputable body shop and get an accurate estimate first. So that you know what the appraiser is trying to do to you.

Re: Finally found my truck

It makes me sick. What that picture doesn't show is the fender got bent pretty good.

Looks like an expensive hit, grill, grill surround, bumper, maybe core support, maybe bumper bracket, fender, MAYBE even the hood. I hope the animal did not suffer like your truck is.

Sorry to ear about your mishap this morning.
One possibility of the toggle switch is that it is or was some sort of a theft deterrent.

Re: Finally found my truck

Gives new meaning to the deer in the headlight look...

Seriously, that sucks!! Glad you're ok and it wasn't any worse than it is. If insurance does you right, you might check with board member "teeitup" in the parts section of this forum for parts instead of the el-cheapo aftermarket parts.
