Re: 1972 c10 rare option? build thread
The top 3 photos are of the 69 that dad had bought to fix and ended up selling the step side was a parts truck that he bought and the blazer is his pride and joy. Bottom left is the 67 that we pulled out of the weeds after it set for almost 10 years after he parked it bottom middle is my current truck and the red 68 is the truck I had in high school

Re: 1972 c10 rare option? build thread
Small update got my conversion mounts cut out and ready to drill holes compared my pattern that I made to sbc mount and a ls mount and they are spot on. So now I'll drill them paint them and they will be ready to bolt up. Still out of town working so not really getting a whole lot done but progress is still progress and I'm now one small step forward

This isn't the best pic of my conversion mounts but I'm really happy with how they turned out. I have tweeked them some and cleaned up all the sharp edges and painted them since

Re: 1972 c10 rare option? build thread
I also have my 4l60e that's going to get freshened up with new filter pan gasket and fluid gonna clean it up some and paint it then I'll get it bolted to the engine and get everything set down in there by middle of this week. Once that's done I'll start on the wiring gonna be doing it myself I'm kinda nervous but I feel if I take my time I'll get it done. Thanks to lt1 swap I've pretty much got a step by step instructions. How hard can it be?

Re: 1972 c10 rare option? build thread
Ok so the engine is finally bolted in. Huge relief also stuffed the 4l60e in it and waiting on my driveshaft to be built. I also have a picture of what needs to be done to run the truck manifolds. Driver side is the exact same way but don't have a very good picture of it.

Re: 1972 c10 rare option? build thread
Well I'm still plugging away with the ls swap ben out of town working and I'll be home right before Christmas so prob won't get much more done because of the holidays but I had the exhaust flanges made for my manifolds...no sense in buying them from eBay when I can just get em made for free also won a ebay auction for digital gauges last night....they are made by intellitronix who I do belive sells for LMC I've heard good and bad reviews from them but I have faith that they will work plus they have a lifetime guarantee. I was looking for a electric speedo for the swap and they are crazy outrageous for one speedometer I had thought seriously about doing the electric speedo swap from the s10 but I spent less than 160 for the gauges and shipping so this was the best option for me.

It's cold out so not much progress. But finished up my exhaust manifolds. New studs sandblasted and painted with high heat paint..also saw this 4 eyed beauty at local store. Didn't catch the owner but decently solid ol truck!

Re: 1972 c10 rare option? build thread
I got my intellitronix gauges put in but oil and temp sending unit arnt hooked up yet...for christmas my wife got me a lokar shifter for my 4l60e I scored a hell of deal on this paint it was mixed wrong for a customer and I snatched it up. I took the bed and extra fenders I had and sanded and primed them to keep them from surface rusting the primer lmc uses is crap! And last but not least here is a picture of me standing next to probably a 150 year old oak tree...hated having to knock it down but it's right in the way of where we will be building our house.

Re: 1972 c10 rare option? build thread
Wow so it's ben 3 months since I posted last about gettin the engine to fire up. I have put almost 1k miles on the truck since getting it drivable. The only problem I ran into was a bad battery....I'll be home soon and me and my wife are planning on taking a trip up to the super chevy show in Hebron ohio at National Trails raceway. Should be a good time. Havnt done hardly anything to the truck since I got it road worthy just ben driving the snot out of it. Hate not uploading pics since everyone likes to look here is a picture of my house it's in the process of being built. Will start the frame work tomorrow
