I'll also have to look for you on the Power Tour, and check it out in person. Looks great!

Didn't have any issues getting there. I stayed with my brother who lives in the area, checked over a few things Thursday evening, all seemed well so we hung out at the show Friday and Saturday.

Had a great time at the show, saw more cool cars/ trucks than you could count and then came home home this morning. Took a few pics on the route home. All in all we drove 940 trouble free miles.

I used to pass that Texas Flag every day on my way home. I used to live in Canyon Lake... Awesome truck! I have a 1950 Suburban that I want to do the same thing to...

Whose Harness is this??

PPE did the harness for me. No complaints, they did a good job.

Re: 54 Duramax build

The new wheels finally showed up. Thoughts? They aren't the exact shade of blue I had in mind, but the more I see them the more I think I may be ok with em.

I think the contrast between the 2 blues looks great.

Re: 54 Duramax build

Finished the 2016 hot rod power tour a few weeks ago. Did the long haul, which ended up being about 3400 miles. Truck did great, didn't have any issues. Meet lots of great people and had a great time. Here's a few pics from along the way.
This was our group for the week

This guy drove this from New York....45 mph top speed.

My brothers 60 impala and the 54.

A few rolling shots

Re: 54 Duramax build

Congrats on being a long hauler Can't imagine only having a 45 mph top speed for that distance.

Re: 54 Duramax build

That's just all that thing would do. He had a sign on the back of the flatbed that read "45 mph top speed". You can kinda see the back of that sign in this pic. I asked to confirm and he said that's all it would do. He's dedicated!

Re: 54 Duramax build

Here's a couple pics that were taken in front of us and behind us in one of the many small town traffic jams we got the opportunity to participate in. Lol. Hot rods as far as you could see just about.

This truck was a 7.3 power stroke swap on a pretty trick bag setup. Anybody familiar with it? I talked to the guy for a bit, great guy with a sweet truck!

Re: 54 Duramax build

Anybody watch gas monkey garage? A buddy knows KC, the painter that was on the show. He's opening up his own paint shop in the DFW area, we swung by his shop and said hi. Got to see his square body SEMA build...supercharged LS7. Not to bad. Lol.

Not sure exactly what this was, except diesel powered and somewhat scary and awesome all at once. Lol.

Re: 54 Duramax build

Those NY guys are pretty hard core! Last year I loaned my jack and jackstands to a guy from NY in a 55 2nd series with an LT1 and 4L60...earlier in the week he'd lost 4th gear and reverse and every night he was at the hotel in the next city.

How did the wagon guy do, any more bad luck? Again, let me know if he has any problems returning that fan.

That PowerStroke truck is from my area, it's on a Crown Vic suspension and he AutoCrossed it last year at GoodGuys. I'll probably see it this weekend, as it's GoodGuys weekend here in town.

We followed that last truck for a while one of the days. From the back it just looks like any other flatbed dually, until you notice the back window is pretty small and the side mirrors are round. Then I started paying attention and saw it was an old cab, very interesting.
