Re: Aren't these kinda rare?
I think it would be relitively easy to graft 2 suburban doors and the frame together to get rid of the blind spot.

Re: Aren't these kinda rare?
Hope you get it, I have no use for it but for some strange reason I would love to the same thing you're thinking - with the addition of a t-case & front axle!

Re: Aren't these kinda rare?
Do you want to know the truth? It has spark plugs in a big C60, it doesn't matter. Any spark plug engine isn't going to be good enough IMO.
That is a lot of the drive to get it. Save some time hopefully. Quote:
Yes it will. I have some burb doors and a rusty burb so I plan to modify the back doors and the rear of the front doors to make it look better. We shall see.

Re: Aren't these kinda rare?
Nonsense. Low RPM/Long stroke = gobs of torque. Nobody's gonna use it for drag racing, anyway. But as a tow vehicle? Get out of its way!

Re: Aren't these kinda rare?
Hey folks.
Does anyone have any additional information on this truck or any similar? What was it called specifically? When I do a web search of a c-60 I get nothing on it at all. I'm interested in purchasing this truck but not without figuring out if it was a production truck or something some dealer put together. Any info would help. Thanks

Re: Aren't these kinda rare?
Unless you sell the crank to whoever and stroke it out with a 4.25 or 4.375 crank. You can get a much better rod ratio with the tall deck compared to a std. deck when building a stroker.

Re: Aren't these kinda rare?
Just spoke to the owner today... Nice guy. It seems the truck was made to order for the Post Office and used to pull a fifth wheel. It has air brakes, the gas tank is toast, so has to use an external tank to keep it running. But it runs and drives.
It has rust in the typical spots, rockers, fenders etc... I just need to figure out a way to get it from the eastern border of Ohio to California without breaking the bank... he is firm on the price and won't budge. Anyone live near Youngstown that can take a look at this and see if it's worth it? Thanks

Re: Aren't these (C60) kinda rare?
No, I didn't. It was a nice truck but not as nice as I wanted. I would have been cutting a lot of it to fix rust so I decided with all the work that it needed to make it look the way I wanted in the end, I'd be money ahead to start with what I have been collecting. Hopefully some one got it and will make a nice rig out of it.
