It's a 20 footer for sure. Paint has to be 90s era and has failed in several places. They went right over the original Medium Green so you can see it anywhere the paint has chipped or failed. And they got rattle can happy in the interior and the engine bay... EVERYTHING is painted flat black. |

Re: WTB: Parts to "un-redneck" my 1971 K10 :)
Nothing wrong with a good 20 footer. Don't have pics in the computer, just prints in the photo album but when I first got my truck it was REALLY close to being a 50 footer!! Nothing that time, $$, effort, beer, $$ plus more time, more effort and more $$ can't overcome, LOL. I started my restore when you still had a decent chance to find good GM useable parts in a salvage yard. Now days that is almost a pipe dream. Swap meets and all the good people here on this forum are your best bet. Good luck and Keep On Truckin'.

LIKING that MUCH better. "Pull me over" red is just not my color. That's the same color my '71 was before the body and paint. Here it is now:

Re: WTB: Parts to "un-redneck" my 1971 K10 :)
I will get you a quote on the headers tonight. I have a nice set of door hinges and some seat parts also will get a picture tonight. The pulleys you need I'm assuming short waterpump? Do you need a ps pump and A/C brackets also?

Need hood hinges, my doors are good. On the pulleys, I'd like to put the front of the engine back to stock, it has some aftermarket crap brackets on there for the alternator and the power steering pump. So I basically need all pulleys and brackets for a small block w/ power steering and AC. |

Re: WTB: Parts to "un-redneck" my 1971 K10 :)
I can do 90 shipped on the headers. Here are the pictures of the brackets and pulleys the only one missing is the bottom crank pulleys. I removed the springs to check the play and seem fine. It was the best way I figured to check. Everything removed from a 72 Jimmy that I'm parting. I should have some seat parts but need to look for them.
Prices plus shipping Hood hinges 40 A/C brackets 125 Power steering 65 Alt. 45 |

Re: WTB: Parts to "un-redneck" my 1971 K10 :)
Headers still have the exhaust adapters they are backwards in the collector held in with plastic buttons. Story on the headers the guy built a roller engine and installed in the blazer drove it 12 miles and then jump on his motorcycle and wrecked it. The blazer set for about 24 years until I bought it. Here are the seat parts I have the one on the left ps bar the one on the right is the ds bar but not sure if they are what you need.

Re: WTB: Parts to "un-redneck" my 1971 K10 :)
Pulled the trim today, my only concern would be the cost of trying to ship them as they are quite awkward to box. I will get you some pics tomorrow, not sure I have the proper pulleys you need but I will post what I have.

Trim, hard to get decent pics of it. Few small dings but I believe it would clean up well.

You want to PM me with a price on the trims and the pulleys? To ship the trims I imagine two big pieces of this cardboard with the trim sandwiched between them? maybe a couple pieces of 1x1 in there too to keep them from getting folded? |
