WTB: Parts to "un-redneck" my 1971 K10 :)

Bought a new project. Factory short K10 with matching numbers and AC. There's a nice truck under that "Marlboro Red" paint and I'm determined to find it.

While I admit to rocking a wicked Tennessee Mud Flap back in the day, I've wussed-out in my old age. Now I like em stock... with just a hint of "Hell Ya". So I'm looking for a few factory parts to mellow this rowdy bastard out a bit while I sell off another truck to raise funds for a poindexter Medium Olive paint job.

He's my wish list, I'll update as I go.

1 - Decent/Nice factory black steering wheel
(that narrow Grant POS may come in handy at 2am in handcuffs, but I'll risk it)

2 - Good oem passenger side window regulator - LOCATED, thank you IRONHORSE!
(the Vise-grip winder is both ingenious and multi purpose but having good splines on the regulator would allow for a more conservative factory winder)

3 - Seat adjuster lever, springs and associated hardware
(that "communist metric wrench" is doing a good job holding the seat solid for now, but what if I want to reach down between my legs and... ease the seat back?)

4 - Nice solid factory black interior rear view mirror LOCATED, found locally
(currently it reminds me of the view out the back window of my primer grey Impala in 1992 while blasting Dio's Holy Diver through 2 Cerwin Vega 15" subs)

5 - Full set of factory small block pulleys and brackets w/ power steering and AC
(What's that saying, chrome won't get you home, but it'll get you... I just want to get home)

6 - Nice stainless windshield and rear window insert trim
(cheap aftermarket rubber and a half rack of Keystone Light are likely to blame for the "Git er' done" quality glass install, so I might as well bling it out when I fix it)

7 - Factory outer front bumper supports - LOCATED, thank you DeadheadNM!
(I mean who ready needs all four bumper mounts up there? What would Ozzy do? admit it, he'd roll two)

8 - Nice factory front bumper guards
(because... Fall Guy? I don't know, they bring in that hint of "Hell Ya!")

9 - A part number for a good set of new full length small block headers that fit K10 Auto
(nothing says holey acid washed jeans and a Dokken jean jacket like the rhythmic tick of crappy slip fit headers)

*NEW* 10 - Some solid hood hinges
(mine are as loose as a pair of groupies at a 2017 Poison concert)

I know I'll find more. And I'll update as I do... hit me up with parts.
Thanks!

Re: WTB: Parts to "un-redneck" my 1971 K10 :)

I've got a solid set of the outer front bumper brackets for a 71-72 Chevy 4wd if interested. Nice truck - lets see more pics.

I may also have seat tracks for a 72 bench if you need these. I just tossed a set of headers from. 72 Blazer - no local takers.

Message me a price on the bumper brackets... and the seat parts if they are complete, I'm missing everything but the tracks themselves.

Thanks!

Just a suggestion, the 67-70 window trim is easier to work with. If you're going to buy gaskets anyway, they are same price. Great post by the way, it kept me entertained the whole time

Pretty sure I can help with your #2 want, oem passenger side window regulator. I will check the parts shed today to be sure still have it. Came from a '71 I parted while building my truck. Can do pics if wanted, $15 plus shipping, don't have Paypal, I use money order payment. Nice truck !

I have a set of headers removed from a 4x4 blazer auto. I don't think they have the paint burned off yet. I going out of town until Monday can get you some pictures then if interested.

Let me know on the pulleys/brackets and the window trim if it's there and in good shape. It's an AC truck so needs 3 rib pulleys, etc. If the headers are either ceramic coated or real cheap (so I can get them coated) let me know on those.

Earlier trim is skinnier correct? I will probably regret it later (like that time I blew my whole paycheck on scalped tickets to see Slaughter in concert) but I'm going to try and stay year correct.

Glad the post is entertaining... hobbies should be fun right?

If it's in good shape, I'm in! Message me where to send the money order. (...as long as I don't have to buy one more part per month for the next year to fulfill my contract... I still have all 12 of those CDs and a 12 credit score to match.)

Found the regulator, appears to be in good condition for use. Will box and get a shipping quote with total later today. Thanks, Ironhorse aka Gary B.

Re: WTB: Parts to "un-redneck" my 1971 K10 :)

Ran the window regulator up/down with a crank handle, everything seems good and tight. I also lubed the gear teeth and the crank mechanism, splines are nice and sharp. Includes the three mounting screws, all the nylon rollers are intact with no missing chips/pieces. 6 lb box at 28'' long, 10'' wide, 4 inches tall shipping is $17.50 Parcel or $20.80 Priority 2 Day. Used a random Boise, Id. zip code of 83702 for the quote. Let me know if that works for you and I will PM mailing info for payment.

Ok, so $32.50 total shipped parcel correct? I'm in. Send me mailing info.
(that's cheaper than a nose-bleed seat at the last Monster Truck Rally... and way more useful.)

I'm thinking $55 shipped for the brackets. If that sounds reasonable lmk and I'll post up pics. I've got the seat tracks only. Maybe I can scrounge the return spring.

Price is fine, please post up a pic. These are the two outside brackets correct, near the corners.
