Yeah, American Racing Torque Thrust II's. 20x10 in the rear and 18x8 in the front. I can't remember the tire sizes at the moment. I will have to look when I get home. You will have to do some fender rolling in the front to be able to turn lock to lock.

Someone asked about the suspension. The front is Flat Out Engineering C4 Corvette subframe system, the rear is stock frame, and a air ride system.

I am not much for bodywork, but installing LS engines is a favorite of mine.

Yup, i like it too. Nice truck Tim.

Black Sheep - Can you tell us about the bolts/washers you used to attach your rear fenders? I bought some showy type bolts/washers from here:
http://www.mmsacc-stainless.com/html/truck_items.htm

I havent installed them yet and I'm wondering if I made a mistake buying the flat washers instead of the beveled ones but those were twice as expensive. I'm wondering if you like yours?

I used 3/8 stainless steel fender washers and stainless pan head torx bolts. After the repaint I plan to use the same bolts with smaller diameter stainless washers with nylon washers between the stainless washer and the paint.

I have been using boltdepot.com for specialty hardware to replace all of the mismatched hardware store fasteners throughout the truck.

Re: task force pics

hey dubie, nice looking ride and stance. I like the patina on this one as well, not so over the top as some. not usually a patina guy myself. spent too many years driving patina cause the pocketbook was buying groceries instead of paint, haha.

Re: task force pics

bmar,
the LS install looks good. I like the way you run the bulkhead connector. is that a piece of the donor firewall that you cut out and use on the "new" application or is that a custom part? would you use a weather cover on the fuse panel or is there no such thing, possibly too big, didn't bother at time of pic?

Re: task force pics

The firewall plug was changed and the hole needed to be smaller than the old one and it is just a piece of sheet metal.
I once had the fuse panel inside of an old toolbox, but changed over to just mounting the panel on the fender skirt. I have plans of making a cover, but I don't want something that is bolted on. I need to figure out some kind of snap on quick release cover.

Dan,
I don't know the bolts you are using, but heres what I've used on my truck's front fenders and rear fenders. Sorry for the poor picture.

Re: task force pics

if using stainless remember it is softer than the steel bolts so the allen heads strip off easier and they may not be as strong as a steel alternative. should be fine for holding fenders and trim on though.

Re: task force pics

Morrie,

These are the bolts & washers I bought on the left and I think they look good. Better than stock clutchheads in my opinion. BUT, since buying them I've had 2nd thoughts whether I should have bought the beveled washers the supplier offers as an alternative. I think they look better but they're almost twice the price so I'll live with the flat ones.

Yes, I know stainless fasteners are softer. It's because of their nickel content which also makes them rust resistant. Dsraven - I am using those polished button head stainless on the fasteners in the engine compartment that fasten the inner & outer fenders together right on top. And I will use Never seize on them too.

Re: task force pics

that should look great on there.
I just dug my inner fenders out. really rusty and beat up. good for the mock up though. figure out where I need to cut them to fit for the new configuration and then transfer the new shape onto a new set of inners.
