use brake clean and a paper towel it will take the paint right off then just use glass cleaner to get the residue off no scratches

I use some stuff called "Dons Mobile Glass Cream" Its a extremely fine abraisive cleaner for glass and I use it on my chrome too. Also takes surface rust off chrome. Something that works just as well, "Soft Scrub" cleaner, Then I use straight ammonia. Glass will be like new again.

my back and wing windows both have small water spots .... i've tried many things and nothing takes them out .... they are more stubborn then any other water spot i've ever dealt with

Anyone know of anything you can use to buff out welding spots? I was fixing holes in the roof of my 80 with some fluxcore (read splattery) wire in my MiG, and of course I started on the drivers side (I later bought a gas bottle and switched to a solid core wire) and wherever a splatter landed it melted a bit of glass away and left a small pit, and being flux core, its a LOT of little pits in my windsheild. I can still see out of it, but my wiper is useless now, and I get a lot more glare at night.

I had some over spray on my '81 El Camino. A glass shop told me that 4-ought (0000) steel wool would do the job. It did. Then, any good glass cleaner.
Any grade of steel wool that is coarser than 0000, may scratch the glass.
