Re: 67 GMC super custom build
Got the steering g column painted yesterday. Was going to assemble next week but just realised I never ordered new column seals so I ordered some this morning on ebay. More time for paint to cure I guess.

Column looks great. I'm looking very forward to seeing your truck completed.

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
Picked the rails up Friday and just sat them on the bedside to see how they look.

I think those bed rails actually fit your truck pretty good!

I painted the horn center so you can see the gmc lettering easier.

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
After I installed the signal seeking radio the washer pump was really tight in there ( as if they weren't with any radio and ac dash) and being how poorly they worked anyway I decided to make room and add a 1975 Vette washer pump. Much nicer and looks era. It will also constantly pump when the button is depressed as opposed to 12 intermittent sprays.

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
On of the 1st things I bought for the truck a long time ago and found them today. New repo style T3 headlights. Not sure if they still make these anymore.

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
Along with the wheels I got the rest of my small parts powder coated. All that's left are my inner fenders and rad support to powder. I want to fit them 1 more time before I do it. My chassis is now complete.

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
Hey, I recognize those sway bars... Looking good!
I missed the thread on what you did to your inner fenders. Did you have someone straighten them out or were they already that nice?

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
Yup those are the bars I got from you! The passenger side inner was Nos but had a few dents. The driver was the original but had some minor rust issues. Didn't want any filler so I could powdercoat them so James (nuke1) made em all perdy and shiny!

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
The 1 1/4" ton front sway bar v's original 1967 7/8" bar. It's Double the size. The big one is going in!

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
Got my rotors back from powdercoat today. They took longer cause I had to wait till they had enough stuff to do in silver high heat powder. I'll have them turned when I get to the point where brakes need to be functional.

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
Picked up this spare tire lock for my spare I'd I mount it in the bed instead of underneath. I think I could use it for a underneath one as well if I got creative.

Got the tilt telescopic column completed. If you didn't know you would think it could have been factory.

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
I got my washer bottle finished up tonight. I riveted a terminal to the bottom of the bottle and a rod thru the top. When there is water in it and it is above the metal rod the light will stay off. When the water level is below the metal rod the light will turn on letting me know the fluid is low. The fluid itself completes the ground circuit. The terminal on the bottom goes to the washer pump ground so the light will only come on when the washer is pumping.
