just kidding man, you know I have to give you a hard time....but I TOTALLY understand your pain. I haven't touched mine in a couple weeks so I am one to talk
Family activities, Working 70 hours, getting a house ready to put on the market in addition to general spring cleaning and yard work has taken all of my truck work time.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window

Here are the updates! A couple of pics of progress.
Installed my flywheel and drained my torque converter some so I wouldn't be pouring out trans fluid everywhere.
Name: engineandtrans.jpg
Views: 2353
Size: 30.5 KB
Pulled out the dusty transmission and cleaned it up (cleaned and painted months ago) and butted it up to the engine. After 4 trips to the auto supply store I finally got the right trans mount.
Name: engineandtranshookedup.jpg
Views: 2354
Size: 30.7 KB
Got it in the frame rails with no problems, only took about 40 minutes. Took my time so I wouldn't scratch the paint! The brake booster is going away and will be replaced with a hydrobooster to clean things up. All was well until I attempted to fit the headers........no fit, back to searching for some shorties.
Name: engineinstalled.jpg
Views: 2303
Size: 40.9 KB
Just another pic for your viewing pleasure.
Name: motorinstalled2.jpg
Views: 2343
Size: 43.6 KB
And another. The weight of the engine lowered the front down about an inch so with everything on the front installed it should sit right where I want it. Note the pictures hanging on the back wall of the shop! Also installed the seat so I could do a little imaginary cruising!

Thanks dude! The headers were Gibson for 88 and up, bought them prematurely and didn't do enough research.....lesson learned the hard way.

Thanks Heath. It has been a long time just to get to this point, but worth it. Glad I slowed down on it to build it like I wanted.

This pic shows how much the c-notch helped and how low it sits in the rear now. I am almost 5'11'' and the top of the cab sits level with my shoulder. Picture credit goes to my girlfreind Christy.

Looking great. Yeah, I was loading parts into my bagged longbed (sitting on the bagged frame) and it was so nice to be able to drop them over the side of the bedsides with no problem because it's so low....
