Re: Dumptruck Dolly
Took power from keyed source and hooked up the hei distributor (Red) and also connected the electric choke on the Edelbrock carb. (Yellow fuse wire transitioned to a red wire) Hooked up ground (black) per Edelbrock instructions.
Yikes! Dollie’s fuse panel terminals need a scrubbing...rusty! Last edited by fishnixon; 06-13-2021 at 11:49 PM. |

Re: Dumptruck Dolly
The instrument panel is pretty plain and I needed an oil gauge, so in it goes. I have an option of leaving the bezel in chrome or to add a faux wood grain sticker ala 1970’s...I’m not quite settled which way to go...thoughts?

Re: Dumptruck Dolly
Dolly didn’t have the correct connector on the fuel tank...so I scavenged from a parts truck just what she needed.

Re: Dumptruck Dolly
Gearshift Knob looks Great.
Mine is the (Reverse on the left). That is a 67 Thing. I could not help but noticed one thing. The Mechanic that trained me do Brake (DRUM) jobs. 40 years ago He always would take soft jaw Pliers and lightly bend the spring hooks. I put an Arrow on the hooks of what I am speaking of. Glad to see your post My Friend

That’s some good advice! I’ll do it. Not being a mechanic myself, I appreciate everything I learn, especially from others. Thank you! |

Dolly has made it out of the garage!
I kinda feel bad for the ‘72 hiding in the back… |

Re: Dumptruck Dolly
Moving around the yard…I still have a pretty long list of things to do, but it sure feels good to be able to move under its own power
