Re: mylow53 build
Nice truck iv been watching your progress for some time now.
Question: In post number 240 you have a picture of the door an in it I see you have stainless inner window trim. I can not locate or find where to get this. All I have found steel but not polished stainless steel. |

Re: mylow53 build
Greg,
great truck and project I am following for a long time. I have one question: did you have to remove the support to fit your rear tires under the fender?

Re: mylow53 build
Hey Greg, do you have any pictures of when you installed the wheel tubs? I see them after they were installed but I was looking for build shots. We are fixing to order some.
Thanks Bernie |

Re: mylow53 build
Thanks Greg, Did you guy weld them in from the back? Its hard to tell. I was looking at the ones from Dan Carpenter and was thinking about drilling holes in the flange and plug welding them in from the back side.

Re: mylow53 build
yes plug welded. unlike young rodder mine extend thru the bed. also i removed the angle bracket that runs the length of the bed. Instead i put some smaller brackets under the bed. i think young rodders method would be stronger if your hauling but i like how mine go thru the wood

Re: mylow53 build
Greg-
Mine also ran through the bed and they were welded inside and out. I like you aproach on the L brackes underneith. It looks very clean. I also went back and forth on how to handle the transtion from the L bracket to the tub. I like what I ended up setteling on but it was trial and error. Marc

Marc, It looks like yours sits on top of the wood? You did a great job blending the wood to the inner fender. I also like the way Greg did his but I am not sure I want to get that involved...lol. Bernie |
