No you didn't but you have now!! man that's crazy you got a 5/5 out of it with that tire size but yet again you replaced all your front components so that helps with it, for me to get a 5/5 I'll have to get different tires. My new shocks help some but still would only let me get about 4' of drop in the front.

Thanks for getting me the info on the tires I appreciate it man!

Theres plenty of 350s out there, mainly if you can find an OEM 87 on up roller block with a mechanical fuel pump boss,(dealership options, carbed or Tbi) spider tray and all the roller lifters, youd have one hell of a block. there dressed up with TBI heads.... theres many of them SGI blocks

Re: 1977 Chevy C10 known as SharkBite

I knew I was forgetting something yesterday!

My build has gone on officially for 1 year now, though it may not seem like I've done a lot at times, I've sure came a looooong way from what it was and possibly what the PO intended to do with the truck. So from the bottom of my heart I want to thank everyone who has followed along with my build and help kept me motivated, you guys are awesome and I thank y'all for all the opinions and suggestions y'all give me.

Well that's all I have to say for today lately life has been pretty crazy so haven't really been able to get back to tinkering with the truck but hopefully I can set aside some time this weekend finish up some sanding and figure out some other things to do.

I also wanted to say I actually bought a new Dash Bezel from Corts he had a very sharp looking Bezel for an A/C truck so scooped that up and I should have it here by next thursday so I'll post pictures when I get it and install!

I'll keep an eye out and ear open. I don't search much, but if I come across something before you buy, I'll let you know. You looking for any 350 or specific year range? something salvageable obviously, but what kind of shape? Long block/short block/complete with intake and pulleys???

Thanks man I really appreciate it!!

4bolt preferably, so i think that's pretty much an 80's and up on the block. If I could get a complete set up with everything that'd be great the pulley's and such aren't a must as I want to run a serpentine set-up eventually. I think I have a short block so I'd like to keep that if possible.

Re: 1977 Chevy C10 known as SharkBite

A short block is just the block with rotating assembly (crank, pistons, rods) and a long block includes the heads, cam and valve train, normally without the intake.

If you don't need the brackets and pulleys, you'd want to replace the timing set and water pump, so really, if you've got or plan on replacing the distributor, intake manifold, valve covers and timing cover, a long block would be fine. If you're going to be buying aftermarket heads, a short block would be better.

Short block will be my way to go then. Because I'm going to want to put different heads, cam, etc on it.

Re: 1977 Chevy C10 known as SharkBite

So as far as condition, are you wanting to completely rebuild the engine using the stock parts, or replace everything from crank, rods and pistons to cam and valve train?
