Still need to get the holes drilled and probably use something like riv-nuts to install it. Wondering what I should use for the sealant between the panels to keep the elements out. Maybe seam sealer on the bottom side?

I also mounted up the Dirty Dingo LS low mount A/C bracket for the Sanden SD7 compressor. It fits pretty well.

I test fit the motor (sorry no pics) and it was close. I'll have to move the engine stands back to the rear holes on the frame. I have the motor mounts as far forward as I can on the plates and the oil pan sits on top of the steering center-link. There's enough room from the firewall to the back of the heads to move another 2-3" comfortably, so I think it's the best option. Plus, the trans was sitting on the cross member (which I hadn't moved yet) so it was up too high, causing the front to sit low. All said and done, I at least know what I need to do now to make it fit, so that's good news.

I put Fatmat on my high hump, bolted it in. I then took strips of the Fatmat and put over the bolts and edge of the high hump sealing it to the floor. It created a good seal and shouldn't be that hard to remove if the need every arises. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks Rob, it does make sense. I still have some of the eastwood mat I used everywhere else on the floor. I thought about using it and I will on the high hump itself, but I'm more worried about the dirt and moisture collecting between the high hump and the floor from under the truck. I don't want to cause rust to form by not attempting to seal it. I hope that makes sense.

There was sealant applied there at the factory. Wouldn't hurt to run a bead

Not much to post, but something for my records I guess. I removed the engine stands after work yesterday to put them in the rear 6 cylinder position and decided to clean up all the muck while I was at it. Turns out there wasn't much paint left under the 40+ years of gunk. I then painted it with some rattle can satin black.

There's still some crap in front of the cross member that will need to be cleaned up, as well as the frame rails, but this was the extent of what I got done. I'll need to clean the frame rails and put a coat of paint on before I re-mount the engine stands. Hopefully that's tonight's progress.

Yep, it was a pain to clean. Not my favorite thing to do.
Here is last nights progress...

And tonight, I cleaned and painted the engine stands and new power steering pump so it won't rust. Not too exciting to look at so I didn't take a pic of that.

I always use the foam weatherstripping on the flange of the high humps to seal them up..

Look at your local auto parts store, they usually sell some stick on weather seals.
