Yeah it took both Friday and Saturday to make the video, that is why the opening and closing temps were so different. Even so, the ending one was showing warmer just due to my wife's body heat as she was holding it !! Thanks for looking Ta2Don, I doubt Hollywood will be calling any time soon though.... Pffft.... getting that thing to render in the editing program took longer than most of the making !! Grrrrrr ,,,,,, Thank you for looking it at, after all if this stuff isnt fun, then what is the point? Might as well go out and buy some import with a warranty and call it a day, ya? Quote:
Your "I like frogs" line was killing me, and I almost..... ALMOST.....responded to that. Maybe next time. The video was fun stuff though. I am wondering what to make one of next. Too bad I didnt do it for some of my more recent mods.

Actually, I am just happy people take the time to look at my nutty build thread here... I started making an inspection plate for my transmission.... Guess I could do something video-ish with that. Thanks for the motivation, I already know the opening shot for the video.

It was a 4 bolt install, but I made the second bracket with 5 to give me more options. Not only with this shifter handle, but perhaps some other set up down the road. Perhaps the Moderators or Owners of the Board would be interested in setting something up like that for a video section... I suppose some of it could be year/model specific, but some would be generic enough to be shared with the entire community. That is what I like about you Bomp, you have great ideas and you are not afraid to voice them !!! I didnt even get thru half of the hats I took down there for this...maybe in the sequel ?? Glad you got a smile out of it at least Flips, no way I could school you !! Quote:

Re: Not Another Rebuild Thread....
Not much new this week.
Heater core finally came in, and got an order off for my shocks. Right after I made that last video, I pulled the engine and tranny because I did not know to install the pilot bearing for the transmission. This was a good thing, as I realized I did not have a tranny inspection plate/cover. So I made one. This is my story..... Well I hope this gets a chuckle or two and just goes to show how totally unprepared I was to do this build, and how primative some of my tools and skills are !! Fun times, though I dont think I want to do a choregraphed video like this again...took me all day today to get it right, and the sync the "acting" with the music!! But was all in good fun. Hope you guys had a productive weekend, and yes in that "Boo-Yaa" shot I am holding the outside thermometer, and it was at -20. Just to put it in context, if I leave a cup of water on the floor of my garage over night, it will be frozen in the morning, even with the heater set at 70. I know .... ..... right ??

Not so sure about ingenuity, but I can lay some hammer time on some tin !! The videos are kinda easy, just pick a theme and a subject and go for it. I have to admit I borrowed the sunglasses from Bomp, and the hats came from him too. But I am totally going for the "Silent Bob" or "Wyle Coyote" mystic. I am just glad someone likes them. Quote:
As soon as I get 4gigs worth of vids I will start putting them on disc !! Then when my son is my age and I am long gone, he can show his son what a dork his grandfather was.... Quote:
It is a tad time consuming, and I almost always forget to shoot footage, but it is fun none the less!! As far as your vids go, man the one of you cutting your roof to butt-up your two seperate cabs would have been an edge of the seat viewing !! LoL as I write this, you inspire me on how to format my next video. See how awesome you are? Quote:
I guess you dont want to know it was -40 today. It was so cold the studded snow tires on my daily driver were out of round until they warmed up about a half mile down the hardball.... Yeah, well Uncle Sam said I had to come here, so here I am. This however, should be our last winter up here. We hope to be out of here by September. Thank you Pirate!! And thank you for taking a look. Well I have to compensate for my lack of skills and sense some how, right? I am totally glad you liked it !!
