Re: Knomadd '71 SWB C-10
Looks very nice! Good clearance all around?
I'd be leary of using foam weather strip on the high hump, as it will trap water. Just grab a tube of auto body seam sealer

Thanks for all the compliments guys!
Yep, seems to have plenty. See for yourself I'm using 45* EZ Clip fittings, in case anyone is wondering.

Re: Knomadd '71 SWB C-10
I got my new PRC aluminum LS swap radiator yesterday. It has dual 16" Spal fans too. Love the one they did for my GTO, so I knew they'd do great for the 71. Took about 4 weeks to get it made and shipped. I can't wait to get it installed and the engine running!!
Not sure if I'll leave it plain or paint it satin black. Thinking black, since I really don't have anything polished in the engine compartment, but it sure looks good as is.

Re: Knomadd '71 SWB C-10
Hahaha, my thoughts exactly! Thanks guys!!
Well, I moved on from the wiring, figuring I'd have better luck sorting through it with the engine/trans out of the truck. This weekend I started on fixing the firewall. Was pulling a dent I found when the stud pulled the sheet metal apart. Ground off the paint and bedliner/undercoating crap to find some pinholes. Cut it out and made a patch, which lead to blow outs. I hate thin sheet metal and rust!!! Well, I ended up with this. And got it all finished up here I guess GM never meant for these panels to be flat, so the entire blower motor area is low, which is why the welds still show up. I didn't want to grind through any metal, so I'll have to try and work the steel as best I can. Thankfully I'll be making a panel to cover most of this anyway. Heck, it might have been easier to replace the full face of the firewall in this area, maybe even this section of the cowl too.

Re: Knomadd '71 SWB C-10 "Brutus" 6.0L 6l90e swap
It's been a while, so it's time for an update. I've been tackling the firewall when I can (so it's slow going), but progress has been made. Here's what I have so far.
I got all the small holes welded in, then I did the drivers side a/c & heater hole... Filled in the large round hole and final a/c & heater hole. I also started the passenger side firewall radius to match the drivers side. And on Sunday, I used a scrap piece of 12"x12" wood with a rounded corner to hammer the rolled edge to a better (smoother) form.

Looks nice, Duane. Years ago I had a buddy that would say, "Auto parts by Homer Formby!" when we used wood to make stuff for our hotrods.

Sweet work on the gutter! After I saw a cab done up like that I really wished I would have done mine that way. They look so clean and sleek IMO!
