Re: White Wall Pics

shaved my own walls never had a problem with any kind of yellowing.dont know where that problem would come from.i keep my truck clean but not spotless.i drive my truck most everyday and have nothing but good luck with the white walls.my friends think i bought them like that.maybe its something thats being put on the tires?? like cleaner, tire shine, type of tire, etc.

there is a place in Sacramento that cuts white walls.

Hooten Tire Co.
3917 Marysville Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95838-3711
(916) 927-0300

But they did the rears on my panel. $15 a tire. They look great.

can be made from any white letter tire.

31x10.5 R15 on the rear
205x75 R15 front

here it is with 205x75 15's all around, too small for my taste so I went with the large rears above.

Re: White Wall Pics

Yup.

A little known fact is that back in the brass era, the 1900's cars ALL had white tires. Natural rubber was dyed black later but originally they were all white.

"Early automobile tires were made entirely of natural white rubber, however, the white rubber did not offer sufficient traction and endurance so carbon black was added to the rubber used for the treads. Using carbon black only in the tread produced tires with inner and outer sidewalls of white rubber. Later, entirely black tires became available, the still extant white sidewalls being covered with a somewhat thin, black colored layer of rubber. Should a black sidewall tire have been severely scuffed against a curb the underlying white rubber would be revealed, it is in a similar manner that raised white letter (RWL) tires are made."

after emailing back and forth with TireRack, the widest option they have available with the thin whitewall is a 235/75/15 in the Kumho Solus KR21

so, a big/little combo would be possible with those if doing the 215/75 & 235/75

I was looking at those too. Will they work on a big heavy truck?
