Re: Cruise the coast ?

We'll leave N. Arkansas Wed. PM, spend the night in Vicksburg, MS, go thru Hattiesburg and be in Gulfport/Biloxi sometime Thursday. I'll be in my LWB super, and my son in law, Scot, will be in his yellow 2WD Blazer. That's our schedule and route, join us if you can.

My old truck has made the trip several times without missing a beat, but
last year I drove over to Pensacola when I left CTC and pulled a rocker stud. With screw in studs and roller rockers, I hope to have better luck this year.

It's getting close! Started packing up the ole camper and finishing up some loose ends. The DW (dear wife) said I was acting like one of the grand kids.

@ Palf70Step
What/where is the best/good places to eat in Ocean Springs? We plan to hang out most of the day on Friday.

I don't hang out in Ocean Springs that much, but there are some spots on the main drag that are decent "quaint" restaurants. You have a bunch of the chain places up the road on the other side of town. I wish I could remember those down in the CTC area by name, but I normally only show up like CTC and take whatever I can get into.

Ok thanks! I don't really know much about downtown so thought I would ask. We drive down and eat at Back Bay in Gulfport a couple times a year. Tiki Bar and Hucks Cove in Gautier is good if you are on that side of the coast.

Re: Cruise the coast ?

Ate at McElroy's once in Ocean Springs (right by the bridge)..it sucks, don't go! Poor serve & they spillled tea all over my sons new t-shirt; manager didn't care.
Anyway, we always eat at the BlowFly in Gulfport...it's AWESOME!!! Capt. Al's is good too.

Interesting that you brought up McElroys. They have a connection up here in the hills somewhere, because a while back somebody told me I had to check out McElroys while I was there. Small world.

Re: Cruise the coast ?

Well! It looks like I am going to get wet this weekend. Dang 97L looks to be bring plenty of rain to kick off the week of cruising. Should all be gone by the time ya'll are heading down. I plan on posting teaser pics and updates, internets permitting. Hoping the cold front will come on down and push this nastiness to the east.

Local weather guessers think rain should be out of here by early Sunday AM. We'll see. Jr is all polished up and ready to go.

I'm sure you remember 6 or 7 years ago it rained every day (at least it seemed like it did). I sure got tired of washing my truck, but I'll never forget how to get to the carwash.

Leaving out Wednesday AM (Topless on the Trailer)

Praying it keeps changing in a good way during the
day. She will be in the Hotel P. Garage every night.

Bringing 1/2 Top #2 for emergency use only since I
have no way to attach it. (#1 is at the Body Shop)

My daughter and son in law will be leaving Wed. in the Blazer. Hope the H2O is gone by then, cause Blazers leak like a sieve.

Re: Cruise the coast ?

Got this from a member of a club I am in that lives on the coast.

"Went to a local cruise in tonight at Walmart and there were no spots left. The storm hasn't stopped anyone from coming' It's packed down here".

I am out of here can't wait any longer, storm or no storm. See you fellas in the funny papers.
