Re: The Wallet Eater getting new shoes
PN# F10589073-- which is an 18x9, 5x5 bolt pattern, with 5.25" backspacing. Tires are Nitto NT555 255/45ZR18 103W, which are 27" tall.
They're replacing 17x8's with a 255/50ZR17, which is also 27" tall (in the pic below). With the PB DM, I've got plenty of clearance on the fronts for the 1" wider wheel. For the rear, I widened the bed by 2" (there's a thread around here somewhere on that), and so this gives me the 1" extra width to fill up the fenderwells. We'll see

Re: The Wallet Eater getting new shoes
Yep... but as many times as I've _tried_ to get the thing all one color, I don't know if/when it will ever be completely painted. I've got a couple more sheetmetal mods up my sleeve before I pull the trigger on the paint gun.

Re: The Wallet Eater getting new shoes
the hood mod is so sweet! I'm surprised you went with chrome. You don't seem like the chrome kinda guy...although my last set of rims were polished aluminum and I vowed I would NEVER get those again. They were on a daily driver though...
I do like those rims. The polished aluminum ones I mentioned I had where Boyds smoothie 2's which are very similar. |

If they ever show up. Still nothing after the long weekend. Did one of you intercept the UPS truck?

Re: The Wallet Eater getting new shoes
Thanks for giving them back to the UPS guy.
Wheels and mounted/balanced tires arrived today. Will be wrenching as soon as I can get my crusty old asp out of bed (today is my 900th birthday).

Re: The Wallet Eater getting new shoes
I got a card where the top half had been burned off. The inside said it had been caught in the massive fire coming off the cake.
BTW, don't you sometimes wish your name was "Emma?"

Re: The Wallet Eater getting new shoes
I'll ask the wife to get our order in early for next year. Chuck cakes are probably hard to get.
Wait... is it going to be too tough to eat?
