Re: Has Anyone Tried the $158 eBay Stainless Steel Headers?

they would probably work. The dynomax we had fit a 86 4x4 auto and also fit a76 column stick shift 2wd. They looked just like the ones we got from summit or flowtechs.

Re: Has Anyone Tried the $158 eBay Stainless Steel Headers?

I sent speed daddy on ebay a message asking if he had any more of the headers and he said he should be getting some more but he doesn't know when.

I'll be trying these on my K20 but I can see already that they hang down about 3" lower than my big block headers.

Re: Has Anyone Tried the $158 eBay Stainless Steel Headers?

Sorry to spam but I'm wondering if all of the above links and Speed Daddy get their parts from the same supplier because all of their descriptions of the headers are nearly 100% identical...

Re: Has Anyone Tried the $158 eBay Stainless Steel Headers?

i'm assuming these are 1 1/2 inch primary tubes, will i notice any loss in performance from the 1 5/8 inch hedman headers i have on now?
no sense in down grading performance for looks...

Re: Has Anyone Tried the $158 eBay Stainless Steel Headers?

do you have a really built up motor? if not then I doubt it. there was actually a header test I had saved and the small ones done better.

Re: Has Anyone Tried the $158 eBay Stainless Steel Headers?

Man, the last set of headers I bought were stepped Headman race headers and they cost me right around a grand... I've got to assume there are made in china. Just blows me away that they can make these headers, put them on a ship and sail them across the pacific and then drive them to the midwest and still make a dime on them at $158/set.

Re: Has Anyone Tried the $158 eBay Stainless Steel Headers?

those are chrome though not stainless. if they are chrome steel they'd rust in a heartbeat, now if they were chrome stainless they may be ok.

Re: Has Anyone Tried the $158 eBay Stainless Steel Headers?

In the description it says "chrome" but who's to say that kmjperformance just wrote that not knowing any better. Also it looks like that "RPC" tag was added after the fact and in my experience of welding on chrome, the chrome will peel up around the weld. I bet they came from the same company speeddady gets them from.

Got my headers in tonight. They are stainless and not chrome coated. Hopefully they will install easy enough.
