Re: best FREE part you've been given-67-72only
Fine69 gave me all the tinted glass except the windshield after the first Ohio Boardmembers meet. Didn't know me from the man in the moon. Thanx Mike. It looks good.

Re: best FREE part you've been given-67-72only
when i was 17, in 1989, i wanted this 1972 short box fleetside 4x4 hugger orange truck that was a lady i worked with husbands.always had a camper shell on it and he bought it new.kept after him for years.he eventually sold it to someone else...............
17 years later, since i still had a love for these trucks but never had one,i purchased a 1967 for my son to restore to a driver for his 16 birthday. we drove it over to that fellas house to show him i finally got one, kinda, and he gave my son the original grill and spare tire holder from that 72. nothin real $$$$, but sentimental to me.

Re: best FREE part you've been given-67-72only
I got a front fender, door and set of used tires from livrat for project no buck.
in a seperate deal, I gave him a hood, 3/4 ton disc frontend and other misc. stuff that I think he took to the metal scrapper. I also gave away a perfectly good dana 60 and 3/4 ton leaf springs right before I moved.....had to get it gone |

Re: best FREE part you've been given-67-72only
Well now that i think about it i'd have to say the best free thing that i have got was a starter with a cast iron nose housing. Since i got it that nose housing has been put on 3 starter bodies. I love that nose housing! Its guaranteed to not need a shim!

Re: best FREE part you've been given-67-72only
The best part I was ever given was my 68 SWB Stepside Complete Naval Truck with a 6 cyl and powerglide that did not run. My dad's friend gave it too me since the owner signed it away because he did not want to pay to fix it nor want to pay for the storage fees!
Cheers, Charlie
