Re: 72 K10 Frame Off
Nice work. I really like that frame color, I may change on the next one.

Re: 72 K10 Frame Off
Thanks, I was told that the silver vein looked weird until I brought the frame home. Everyone changed their minds once they saw it. I wanted to run something different, specially since she's all black and lifted. The frame is within view from the sides. I wanted some contrast.

Re: 72 K10 Frame Off
Beautiful truck sir, can you tell me how much lift you have between the springs and shackles? Sorry if I missed that part in the thread, Im guessing it is 6" +/- with 35's?

She's riding on 6" leafs from Alcan but wouldn't clear my 36" Baja Claws. I then ran a 1" zero offset from ORD in the rear, the front shackles are 1 1/2" from Daystar. She clears the 36"s now, they're a metric tire, can't remember the exact size right now but they equate to a 36". Hope this helps. |

Re: 72 K10 Frame Off
Cool, thanks for the info, I was trying to determine what it would take to clear 40's on this body style... my last truck was just levelled out with 33's, so I have no experience going higher yet.
It sounds like it took roughly 7/7-1/2" of lift for the 36's then, good to know. Truck looks great BTW!

Re: 72 K10 Frame Off
It's been a while since I've done any work but here's a few updated pics and the frame off will continue again, a bit slow but she'll be underway real soon.
Look what I got my hands on (LQ9 with 67K out of an Escalade)..... she'll be undergoing some new upgrades again, working on gathering all the swap parts now |
