Re: Project: Ginger
Wasn't there someone looking to reproduce the heater delete firewall plates? Any chance you could make that happen? I'm sure the market is to small to make it happen, but I'm sure there are a few people that would be interested.

Re: Project: Ginger
Glad to see a thread for ginger. It's looking REAL good. Progress on mine has come to a screeching halt unfortunately. But it's good to see you're still kick it hard core. We might have to make a trip back down when funds straighten out.

If I had any welding skills I would have just smoothed the firewall. I did find an aftermarket company that makes one for A/C equipped trucks. http://www.acdelete.com/pages/67-72_Truck.htm.

Re: Project: Ginger
Awesome project Keith! I knew it was going to be nice but had no idea what you had up your sleeve. I really love the engine/tranny setup. That chassis is first class too. Hard to believe there are trucks out there like this. More pics please.......Subscribed.

Re: Project: Ginger
Small update,... but a huge step for me.
Members hot trux and 72BlckButy stopped by to help me swap cabs. This gets my '70 stepside cab off the '68 lwb "paint frame" and onto it's new frame,... the ex-n2billet "Tootsie Roll" Dropmember chassis. Not only do I regain my daily driver parking spot in the garage,... but I have plenty to do now. Thanks again to Jeff and Nate,... I owe you guys. (also did a test fit of the stepside bed). Here's a couple pics,...

Nice color. Anyone have side by side color comparisons of Medium Bronze, Bronze, and Metallic Bronze?

Re: Project: Ginger
Huh, sorry about that. Looking at some previous pictures, yours looks very close to mine.
In some of your fender shots, I can see the copper difference. Must be the camera or lighting, but your cab looks identical in color to mine. My SPID says Bronze Metallic I believe, def not Copper. yours mine Really liking the engine you put together! Last edited by litew8; 07-17-2011 at 08:26 PM. |

I just looked at the glovebox door and it says "4522 Bronze". My buddy had some old 1970 paint books,... and the 522 code said "Copper Poly". Thanks for the correction. Is your truck a '70 or '71?
