Re: Calling all high school 67-72 owners!
man there are more high schooleres then i thought!, at my school my trucks arnt the oldest in the lot
i know he wont post up on here but my neighbor and good buddy is a senior and a member here he is 53'GMC he really dont get online much here are a couple pictures of my 68 c20 when i first starte drving it to school in 10th grade, and one of my senior pics with my 71 that i will start driving as soon i tune it up once i get it out of the shed it got buried in by the snow plow i dont have any real 0-60 times for any of my trucks, the 68 c20 toped out at about 100 but it took a loooong time to get there the 71 k10 will leave burnout marks for 2.5 blocks, and ive never even driven my 68 k10 but im hoping to get it going before school lets out to show off the truck everyone has heard about all year some of you guys have some really nice rides!

I'm not exactly sure I can put it into the right words, but I'll try; "You youngbloods are doing us old farts proud."
Keep up the good work & all y'all will go far in life. You're showing a drive that seems to be missing in a lot of the younger crowd. Just the .02 from some really old guy. LJ.

Re: Calling all high school 67-72 owners!
Same here, the first two weeks with it were a shock and I had a surprising amount of people complimenting it. Paint and body work this summer along with a rattle can rebuild on the motor (and heads if I can save up enough). The motor runs great, just looks like crap.

Re: Calling all high school 67-72 owners!
When I was a senior ('65), to have driven a truck as old as these would have found me in a 38-43 year-old vehicle (1923-27). At that time, nobody wanted to drive anything that old. You guys have a lot more streetable stuff to choose from than we did. But, I did want a T-bucket then.....still do. It's just that I'd have to have a Plus-size T-bucket to have one that fit.

Re: Calling all high school 67-72 owners!
mine is floresent green.lol most of my friends have no idea what they're lookin at anyway. they're like whats a carb, then i just point to the little silver thing then they still dont know what it is. its so fun to mess with my friends. everyone there knows me for the truck im the only one in the area with a seafoam green that ive ever seen. some of the guys at school give me grief for drivin it cause they dont like chevy. i gave'em a ride home one day... now they are ok with chevy. 454 POWER

Re: Calling all high school 67-72 owners!
I graduated last year with my 72 4x4. Great Uncle bought the truck new in 1972 and last year I gave it a heart transplant. Great to see HS and college students are into trucks.
