Country and Southern Boogie seem to reign supreme, as they should.

In the rock category, there's probably nuthin' better on the road in our trucks than the two drummer groups, i.e. Allman Brothers, Doobie Brothers, Outlaws, etc. They beat they keep makes the miles fly past.

OTOH, I must say that some of you did not get the memo. Guns and Roses are so over! I lost my "Patience" for that screechy voice before boy bands became the new barf.

Whenever I'm in my '77 I listen to country, and if it's classic country it's even better. For some reason, nothing else seems right.
I save the metal and rap for when I'm in my 'Vette.

Blues. Delta blues. Pre-war blues. Chicago blues. Jump blues. Peidmont blues. West Coast blues. Post-war blues. Contemporary blues.

'Blues is the roots-everything else is the fruits'-Howlin' Wolf, I think.

I like a lot of the same music that is listed. As far as trucking goes,
I believe that every collection should include "Eight Days on the Road."
I think that Dave Dudley did it first.

which classic song, is like "got my hand on the wheel and my foot in the gear" and then has the short guitar riff/chord, its used a lot in car commercials, id proly place it in the 70s/80s, prolly either rock/classic rock/blues/ or country

Anything loud with a beat, usually somthing hard too. Fav Cd's always seem to be Audioslave [one of the best cruising Cd's] sublime [again one of the best] korn, nirvana, eminem, Dr. Dre, busta rhymes, stained's first cd [actually a very HARD cd, not like the rest of their crap], Tool, system of a down, rage againts the machine, soundgarden, limp bizkit, cypress hill, wu-tang, and of course Phantom of the opera. Yes Im talking about a play.

Fast, loud trucks demand even faster, louder, more bad a** music IMO Of course this statement dosen't apply to the phantom cd
