Probably go with SWB and 20/18's. However a long wheelbase phantom dually might be pretty cool........ It will be a couple of years down the road before I do anything with it, unless the 48 sells in the near future. Thanks again for all the info on GQ. If you find a 67 front end outwests (close to Phoenix) let me know. There is plenty of room in the back of the mule. Hopefully a buddy of mine will be bringing it out in January.

Offer stands: My open Hauler is available. Or... I know this guy that will be out in Las Vegas for SEMA and will be coming back East the first week of November. I am sure the 2500HD could pull it (if I am not lugging a boat around behind it). I'll let you know closer to time.

Anybody up for a Photo Shop challenge? Just out of curiosity, what would the first pic in post# 51 look like with a short step bed?

That's what I had in mind for it when I saw it for sale on eBay.

Dean, my biggest problem is being able to take the time off to go get it. Talk to your friend that is coming back in November and let me know what he says. Thanks again.

No, I live about 2 1/2 hours from there above Nashville. But apparently there's an almost done blazer that someone just passed on still for sale.

Dave,

How's the new grand baby doing? You got him wrenching on any cars yet? Have you had a chance to take any pics? Did bodydropped68 come by to look at the truck again? Looks like end of Dec or early Jan before I can pick the Mule up. Talk to you later.

Re: bought a 67 crew cab truck,mule ????

Dave,

My buddy, Chris Chambers, is heading your way the night of the 19th. He would like to pick the truck up around Noon on the 20th. If this is going to be a problem, please let me know so I can coordinate. Also, can you send directions to the location he will need to go to. Lastly, will you box up the extra parts so he can put them in his truck? Thanks again,

Rob

Dave,

Slight alteration to plans. Looks like it will be the 27th of Jan instead of the 20th. Let me know if that is a problem. Take care.

I'm just gathering parts right now (and finishing the Burb). It will probably be a while before any real progress.

Longhorns are 133 regular long beds are 127 long wheel base But the

camper modals where 180 with the use of a 20 foot frame Most of your flat bed wreckers used the same chassis as the built on mobile Campers

The wheelbase was originally 160", but when I shortened it to accept the short bed, I changed it to 148".
