Re: bought a 67 crew cab truck,mule ????

So... You're the one that he sold it to locally. He sent me an email to let me know. I had requested a few more pics from him, where I would feel more comfortable stepping up my bid from $3K.

It's funny! On my way down to Orlando for the Hot Rod Power Tour, at our first stop for fuel, I turned to my buddy (who is also moaning and stretching as he is getting out of his 1970 Olds Cutlass) and say "and for my next project, I'm building a crewcab!"

Congrats on the find!
Dean

That's pretty amazing if it's true. If not it really doesn't matter, you still have a body everyone here would love to own...

I thought the story was cool, but I was thinking how much time would be saved by the cab already being converted to a crew cab! Whatever the price, it was a deal compared to what would have been spent in time and money doing the job from scratch! Good find! Score!!

That may be short lived. If you don`t post pictures you will be banned forever The best thing is,it`s in AZ.Nothing worse than finding a rare custom-bodied truck that`s all ate up.

Looking forward to more pics of this truck. It sure surprises me how some e-bay sellers won't make even half an attempt to get good pics of stuff they are trying to sell.

Re: bought a 67 crew cab truck,mule ????

Nice find there, just curious as to how long the wheelbase is and the frame size. Since long beds are about 133 IIRC this should be longer? Is the frame a 1ton?

I agree 100%. It appears that whoever built the cab did premium quality work looking at what we can see of the fit and finish. You already know what you would have invested trying to get a cab built anywhere near that quality.

If I had know it was out there, it would not have gone to our buddy yote1234 so easily.....

Re: bought a 67 crew cab truck,mule ????

frame is large..but not sure if its 1 ton,the vin is stamped in it.i did crawl under last night and seen where the frame was streched.it was done before assembly.because it's smooth on all sides.even the top, right under the body.looks factory! and the drive shaft has 2-carrier barrings..the wheel base is 160".massive rear end.514 gears..with granny."real low" gotta clean it up some, then will get pics. dave
