Re: 1967 SWB stepper in NE AZ!!

Yep, and for "REAL" it is sold this time!! Keep your eyes open for a build thread. toomanytoys is funding the completion (not show type, but real world driver) I will do the work and deliver it to him in early December. Look for it to begin in about a week, I need to clear out a spot in my garage so I can get the truck in there and spend my evenings/weekends in there with it!! BTW, the 67 short fleet 4X4 in my siggy is ready to roll!!! Any takers?!

Re: 1967 SWB stepper in NE AZ!!

Nice color! Your other baby is sitting in pieces, with the engine out getting fresh paint. Not for any real reason other than I just can't leave things alone. She was running great when I took the motor out, now I just have to hope she still runs great when I put it back in. She is also wanting a facelift to the '68 model, but finding the fenders and hood is getting kinda hard and pricey for nice ones, you know I hate rust, that's why I came all the way out there to get her to begin with, no rust... I'll look for the build thread!

Re: 1967 SWB stepper in NE AZ!!

Sweet. As for the color, I'd go to a paint shop and verify the colors cause I have heard the paint chip colors vary from the actual color? I have a spot in the garage cleared out so work can start in earnest next weekend.

cool. I am steadily gathering pieces. When I get it home I can blow it apart and get to work. Do you want me to just replace stuff as needed and supply you with receipts? It'll save you shipping costs? PM me.

Looks good, I think that flat anodized color looks sweet!! I am excited to get this thing into paint. I am trying to keep from getting attached to it, especially after the paint goes on!!

Yep and I have a deal for you! PM me!! I am thinking of tossing the disc set-up off of my 2wd Blazer (see my new toy thread on the Blazer board). I'll clean it up and new pads etc so you can have 5-lug and disc brakes? LMK in a PM

Mike

PS on the parts above, yep that'll do it!! The shiney aluminum grill pieces can be bought new. Any word on needing the big back window? I have a line on one if you want/need it?

Re: 1967 SWB stepper in NE AZ!!

Picts of the new bed, it is very straight, but the inner fenders have been cut out. The fenders are really nice, so I will use them and we need to decide what you can live with. Once we agree on what to use I can begin the sanding, primer, sanding, primer, paint, paint etc etc!!!

Re: 1967 SWB stepper in NE AZ!!

Here are some more picts, the tailgate is a new leterless gate. It is perfect and straight!! I am beginning to wish this was going to be for me when it's done!! Paint is in the very near future, that's the kind of body work I like, buy perfect straight rust free metal and then scuff and paint!! Repop or perfect OEm is the only way to go!! Gotta love AZ!!
