That came out really nice! I think the bed cutouot section is way safer too, instead of just building up other brackets or whatever it takes to incorporate them. The ankle biters should be hella safe in those seats. Nice work!

Re: 07 yukon/tahoe leather 3rd row install

Just to be clear. If you have '07 Yukon/Tahoe 50/50 3rd row seats, what years and models would be interchangable for the floor section to be cut out?
I just purchased a '69 Blazer and my wife really wants me to change the rear seat 'cause of the seatbelts. I'd like to get it done before spring.

the bed from all models (yukon/tahoe) years 2000 and up should work.

It may be an optical illusion, but it looks like the rear seats are only a couple of inches from the floor. The original Blazer seat sits pretty high. Have you measured the difference? How comfortable are they for an adult? The look fantastic!

Later, Tony

yeah that was discussed before. the 07 seats are a bit more slick and closer to the floor. they are about 5 or 6 inches off the ground. adults fit fine in them cause there's so much leg room in front of them but to be honest with you those seats are primarily for my kids. my original blazer bench seat was a few inches taller but still not all that comfortable for an adult. my kids fit perfect in them and the seats have the integrated shoulder harness which is nice. i've heard of guys raising the new model third row seats a few inches of the truck bed to give them some more lift.

I agree the original rear seats are barely usable for an adult. Given the cost of the sub-floor and fabrication necessary for mounting, it almost begs for a small platform. Thanks for going to all the trouble to get pics, etc. for us to look at. The entire installation is very nicely done. Congrats!

If you get a chance I would really like to see some updated pics of your rig.

Man, that looks fantastic! Iwas wondering about doing that myself. It looks better than I thought it would. How perfect do those seats fit between the wheel wells? I am really impressed!

Re: 07 yukon/tahoe leather 3rd row install

Looks awesome, didn't mean to bring this one back up but it gave me a good idea on how to install my third row seat. I have the bench one though. Just have to find a wrecked one to cut out that piece of.

Re: 07 yukon/tahoe leather 3rd row install

my question is do all of the burb's/yukon's/tahoe's have the same rear floor?? I can find the strikers separate.

Re: 07 yukon/tahoe leather 3rd row install

The hardware mounts for the bench seats out of the burbs are different than the third row 50/50 split found in the yukon/tahoe.
